Gotta admit, Obama can't debate as fluently as Romney, nor does he have that....charming aura in a debate....

    Hmmmm.

Well, whenever someone says that a law should exist to open the windows inside a plane flying because... any reason, can´t have a chance to lead a country.

My humble opinion, regardless his speech skills.

I believe that all these debates and elections are a waste of time and taxpayer money. We should go back to the old ways where leaders where chosen by battle royale death matches and the strongest ruled and had to stay strong and in shape or else he would be challenged and defeated by someone else.

I propose a grand tournament such as the one held in Yu Yu Hakusho.

find it amusing and sad that people focus more on personality, charms and appearances over actual policies and ability to fix the sh!t their economy is in. in the end, politics are just marketing filled with promises that in most cases are never delivered anyway.

really who cares how well they talk to the public, sweet talking the population doesnt solve any of the problems, decisive action does

Debates are good for people who legitimately can't decide who they want to vote for and want to hear more about what the candidates stand for, how they plan to do it, etc. from more than just TV commercials.

However, I think the whole election process is dumb. We do need a way for people to actually know whats going on easily and for them to get out and vote, but I'm so sick of the propaganda, candidates bashing other candidates with complete hostility, promising things for sake of publicity and not going through with it, etc.

I wish candidates could just work together to better the country with a combined effort of ideas, but we're human, and even though that's essentially what the senate is for, even they don't get along often, so I don't see that happening any time soon.

honestly u could save millions on pointless advertising by being straight forward

this is how id do it
    1. "this is what i will do, this is how i will do it *pastes a list* (for every candidate)
    2. vote based on tangible promises
    3. get it done
    4. depending on how much they lied, sue them/jail them, no more eternal retirement in wealth for bankrupting the country

why months of pointless debates where they dig up dirt on each other?

To be honest, I actually enjoyed this debate quite immensely.

With the first one of Obama washing, I was actually kinda mad. He came in too cocky, it was almost as if he wasn't taking his contender seriously. The second one (Town Hall Debate Format), Obama came back out swinging, but I'd have to say that either of them could claim victory. With that being said, Obama made some serious rhetorical grabs at some of Romney's political movements and drives. Romney actually elaborated on his policies a bit more which was nice to here, especially his 5 point solution. It's a vague one, but it's nice to know that he has at least something that he is planning on going of of.

With that being said, the third debate was most likely the best. Obama called out a lot of Romney on his BS, he was paying attention and was actually invested in it. I was in a rather liberal lecture hall who liked to make some quips at Romney's policies, so I might be a tad biased on it. Still, Romney did a good job and gave a good debate, he made an excellent point on illustrating his experience in both balancing the budget and working in a bi-partisan state like Massachusetts with the democrats being an overwhelming majority. Again, with that being said, they were too partisan to actually point out how similar some of their policies were which ultimately frustrates me about the American political system, nothing ever gets done because their sole purpose is the advancement of their party and the stagnation of their opposition.

That's what happens when a 2 party Democratic political system and a Capitalistic economic system have a baby.

All of the problems and issues that you guys brought up here will be forever removed by my new "battle royale leader selection method". Each person who wants to rule will enter into the grand tournament. The last one standing becomes Supreme Tyrant and gets to rule with an iron fist. If you don't like the policies of the current supreme tyrant then you can challenge him or her at regular intervals and if you win then you become Supreme Tyrant and get to rule.

But a whoa ho ho you better stay at the top of your game for you will be getting many challenges yourself should you emerge victorious and become Supreme Tyrant!

Not if I can help it.

Also you're just jelly that you would have no chance of being the leader if my proposal were ever to be implemented.

Well tbh, I don't even read Beastie's posts, they tend to be full of nonsense. I am sure he is an excellent troll, I just like to go read the more constructive posts. With that being said, it's still a far throw from moro's sandy vagina.

I laugh a lot with his nonsense, Its usually well constructed, and always funny. Which is rare, with most people now thinking, that by the way is a trait that has been lost since quite some time, that trolling comes from insulting.

I also enjoy constructive, intelligent and well written posts. But Moro has never written one, so when he types something like that, I can´t stop but read only hypocrisy.
