Nobody asked you that. If you need to resort to money gain flaunts to answer a question of who you are, then you are pathetic.

And indeed, you must give good heads for that price.

    Obama: half-lies.
    Romney: full-lies.

I read both economic policies. Romney doesn't have shit going for him and most of what he talks about in his debate is a lie. He also possesses a LOT of hatred towards windmills. I read 4 pages just about windmills and how he dislikes them. >.>

Obama's shit has a chance to work because some of it hasn't been tried yet and some of it has been proven to work and it's just now being implemented.

I've never been a fan of that "money doesn't buy happiness" phrase. Its bullshit except for very rare circumstances (from an American's perspective at least).

No, people that are rich are not inherently happy, money does not grant artificial happiness by mere possession.
However, in today's society, money is by all means a key to happiness. You can have the best family in the world, but if you can't provide for them, you won't be happy.
Money grants you luxury, things to buy to keep you happy, keep you and your family safe, presents for your kids on Christmas so you can see their face when you get them exactly what they wished for, food so none of your family is ever starving, education so they can grow up to make money just like you, etc.

Cases where the phrase are true nowadays generally involve things like people living off the land, true mountainmen that not only live in the wild but hunt their own food, build their own houses, etc. and have minimal interaction with society. Or you could just be a hippie and not care.

Other than stuff like that, for all purposes money is a gateway to happiness, not instant happiness for everyone but its needed for day to day life that directly results in your daily mood.

That's weird, cause 2 years ago I remember you saying something about being 15. Maybe it was something else. And if you must know I actually am a truck driver(big 18 wheeler) and get paid really good money along with being able to travel and see the country. On the side I also have a successful ebay store, do internet marketing, and am working on a few blog sites.

And over here Stateside paying someone like $5 a week for any job is like illegal as in most states the minimum wage is something like $7.15 per hour.

And if money doesn't buy you happiness does that mean that the things you want don't make you happy? You should look into getting other things then.

I have definitely been iffy about the economic plans for both candidates, but I have to side with Obama's more.

I haven't been too happy with the debates, but I don't think that they're a waste of time or taxpayers money like someone mentioned earlier lol. It's a good way to inform yourself of what ideas your candidates have, and in what direction they want to go it.

I did trucks for a while. You talk about it like it's fun though. I love to drive, and I'm very good at it, but for 15 hours straight? It's great money, but it's for people who aren't committed to a family/relations. No thanks. Finish school kids. Lol.

    Hi.

Sounds about right. I deal with truck drivers often at my job (well, more like I deal with them for my entire shift), and I can say after talking to them that most of them are single and have absolutely no interest in a family, not saying they're bad people, ugly, stinky, etc. which some people seem to attribute to truck drivers, but yeah - I don't see it being a family-friendly job.

Then again, I assume they get a decent few days off, whereas my girlfriend works 1st shift and I work 2nd shift and stay awake late into the night, so really the only time we can see each other is on weekends.

Technically he's not lying. His real name is Jeremiah, not Jeremy.

Truck driving is a very varied career choice and it all depends on what kind of driving you want to do and how much money you want to make. I know of some guys who have a route that's only 4 or 5 hours a day and their home every night, but they make very little money and mostly do routes like that as a part time or retirement type thing to keep them occupied. I also know of people who are away from home from a couple of weeks to months at a time and they love it.

As for 14 to 15 hours a day it also depends on what you're hauling. You can make over $1k a week but you're be running hard every night. There are also laws that prevent you from working too much. In the US you can work 14 hours a day and drive 11 hours. Once your day starts your 14 hours are going even if you stop to eat or take a nap, which brings me to my favorite part about truck driving. In a way you have no boss! Sure you have your company that expects you to your current load there safely and on time but if you really think about it then it's not that hard.

If you time and plan your trip you can squeeze in time to do things along your route. Wanna stop to take a few pictures of that cool landmark you just passed? No problem! How about if you get tired? Just pull over, hop into the sleeper in the back and take a nap! Now try that with almost any other job and see what happens.

If you run what they call "regional" then you get home every weekend. Usually Friday night or Saturday morning and then you go out from Sunday to Tuesday. By law truck drivers can only work 70 hours in an 8 day period and once they get near those hours they do a "32 hour reset" where they take off at least 32 hours to restart their 70 hour limit. So most companies use that to get them home and whatnot.

Like I said before a lot of them never see their families or have no interest in families but it all depends on how much money you want to make, who you drive for, and what you haul. And as for truck drivers being bad, ugly, and stinky, actually a lot of them are lol. I've seen quite a few that were downright nasty.

But I plan on truck driving for hopefully a few years at the most in order to save up to buy a house outright with little to no loan while I take classes for truck brokering. Then I can start my own business brokering loads and setting them up for companies and truck drivers and work from my house.

I'm sure theres a decent few that are, but the stereotype is unnecessary (as with almost any stereotype, of course) as I've seen more evidence of truckers being relatively normal than of them being stinky, toothless rednecks.

Also yeah, we had some guy have to stop in our facility because he reached his daily limit of hours on the road and was forced to just stay there and get some rest before going on the road again.

While most of them are decent enough guys, there are a lot of *******s out there too. Both ******* drivers and *******s overall. In a lot of cases I wouldn't say they're always like that so much as the stress finally caught up to them and many of them are on drugs of some type(usually to help them stay awake). I've seen a met a lot of drivers who are nice enough though I've also met quite a few that if I ever saw them again then it would be too soon.

As for that driver stopping at your facility to rest. It's because he ran out of hours. Like I posted before current laws allow US drivers to drive for 11 hours in a 14 hour period and after that you have to stop for 10 hours. (You can drive up to about an hour extra but only in order to get to safe place to stop like a rest area or a truck stop) It's nice of your facility to allow him to rest there.
