Thank you for not posting aion crap in my general discussion. As a result I shall NOT strangle you to death with barbed wire during your sleep tonight and shall answer your question to the best of my abilities.

I only played briefly during the demo and I did enjoy it quite a bit. I also have quite a few friends that play it to varying degrees of success and happiness. It really all falls down on how much time you want to spend and how much you like MMOs.

    Is it flawed? Yes

    Is it still fun? Yes

Also keep in mind that there are other big MMOS right on the horizon so if you're on a budget you might want to do some research to make the right MMO commitment so then later you won't need a divorce lawyer when you start a new MMO and the old MMO decides to be a no good ***** and run off with all your stuff.

    Verdict
An excellent question!!! One I am happy to answer!!

I was a former Gamez Aion player. And now I am in GW2.

First big thing about GW2 that makes it worth it? You pay the game only once and all the features the game has are there for the taking for the glory.

No more grind, I swear, I didn“t grind for a second and reached lvl 80 in a month and a half. I am not a hardcore player, only 1 hour every a couple days, and then some Saturdays when it was raining and I played the whole day.

The game is fun, is MASSIVE!! you gain rewards for exploring and only that is worth the play. The PVE aspect is quite extensive and fun, events pop up every certain hours and bosses are part of those events. Some maps have wars going on, where the NPCs are fighting for the map and they can win or loose depending on player participation, it can get really crowded, but at the end you have boss fights that are challenging and can take a lot of time.

The PVP aspect of the game exist as something outside PVE, it has castle conquest style of gameplay and WvW. Honestly I recently reached lvl 80 and just now I am entering this part cant tell much. Halloween had a neat event that lasted several days, with quite funny stuff and seasonal boss and prices... plus the main town was remodeled to Halloween, and even though you may say that is bullcrap, it wasnt.

This weekend there is a simple event in which there are gonna open a new map for a couple days, gonna be fun.

Now, the game is not close to completion, there are some stuff that are stuff that aren't ready, some stuff that are bugged, but updates happen often and little by little things get fixes. The map until now is only like 50% of the whole area they designed, so realistically speaking they have content to add for a good time.

Anyway, I am having fun. The game sounds easy but is not, the classes are highly customizable... I mean I am a ranger and I can use swords, daggers, great swords, long bow, short bow, axes. You can mix weapons, and you can come up being pretty unique, is not like all rangers move and fight the same. Same for all classes... I mean, sorcs there can use daggers. And warriors can even use rifles XD

Still the armors are still limited, which is to be expected, but obviously more will come.

Well, that is what I can say... hope it helps.

Ok so yes the game is quite nice, theres a lot to do and if you have good friends or a good guild things will be fun...

till you hit level 80, then the game goes down hill. game is very smooth though and isn't a recourse hog until you hit WvW which is boring as hell anyways. game barely offers a variety of skins.
