Well, let´s see how it goes.

What I meant was in the shonen genre. Sure Naruto had a lot of plot twists as you just typed. But the genre itself has remained the same since ever. Of course the reason is because of the age segment to which it is oriented in Japan, it will remain like that most likely, but I suppose that I had enough of it.

Kishimoto might be doing a good job as an author diversifying the story has he is doing it now, but the progression based in a formula remains the same since the days of DBZ.

That is what I think.

 

I agree with that the formula is the same since DBZ....but maybe in DBZ couldnt go further..u know..with the plot..
From the other side Kishimoto as u said doing a VERY GOOD JOB and as we all see his work is pretty attractive so ofc he doesnt want to stop finding new things to surprise us..:lol:Keep up the good work Kishimoto...Thumbs Up..(btw Bleach FAN!!!:w00t:P)

Sorry I didn't understood what you were trying to say before. What you're trying to say is that the good guys always prevail and the "I will never give up" manga style?

it wasn't predictable at first you know... who would've thought a kid would survive a boulder crushing HALF of his body and then being picked up miraculously by Uchiha Madara... its simply a plot twist its retarded man.

 

Maybe you are right but i remember that we often say with my friends that maybe Obito is the masked man..also maybe sounds stupid but i see a relate in the names TOBI-OBITO..like a reverse..and my op is that in Anime-Manga World everything happensP

 

you can't say its obvious because of a name similarity its simply non backed up speculation.

 

DBZ had a very simplistic story, in concordance with the genre and the time it was created. You need to remember that DBZ has more than 20 years since its making. Totally different times and viewers, but it defined the rules in which this genre, shonen, moves. DBZ didnt need to go further because it was the further it could go at the given time. The new movies the japs are doing now, are merely nostalgia and a sincere appeal to the basics. That and maybe profit again from one of the greatest shonen sagas of all time (As a brand and sell rates).

And this is my complain as a viewer, the rules of the genre are static, dont change. No author has done anything new with the rules of the genre since then. And since Naruto is a good story inside the genre I ll am in until the end. But the cliches like face slaps, like the Obito thing. I knew since the Kakashi Gaiden that he would have been the, or one of the final bad guys.

There is no need to apologize, it´s a healthy conversation.

And yes, that´s a typical shonen characteristic, adding that the hero is incorruptible and way too "humane". Its perfectly ok by the way, but since my personality goes to a more darker and twisted type of stories, I am not enjoying it too much now. But I want to see it end, I want to watch the resolution that I am pretty aware that it will be in a cliche situation typical of the genre.

I've watched and currently am reading about 5-6 mangas and I noticed what you said regarding the formula and constant cliche.
I believe manga/anime evolved until what we're so familiar with and is a stagnation. The author's might be aware of this but given the the era and shonen interests nowadays it might be too risky for them to adventure a little further and risk losing the fans.
Dont forget that the shonen content we watch/read are directed at japanese people and it seems to be very effective for the time beeing.
Its going to take a big balled author to give the first step.

Regarding obito... I got disappointed because my hunch was right. I easily guessed his true identity. Rin was nowhere to be found and they never explained what the hell happened to her so I deduced (anyone could) she died.
When Obito died (or so we thought) he entrusted Rin to kakashi. After knowing pain's background and comparing Tobi's teleport ability with kakashi's Kamui I somehow thought Obito might still be alive and attemping something foolish.
Uchiha Madara jumping on the scene was totally out of my calcs tho.

He will absorb the Bijuu in order to beat Madara.

Spoiler rejected.I dont think thats gonna happen since naruto has kyuubi which already very hard to retain.As for madara, I think sasuke will come n help to fight him at the end.

 

what if killer bee gives himself to naruto, naruto has the kyuubi and then he absorbs whats left of the juubi? HA! if that happens I'll burst laughing with togi by my side *MWAHAHA*

Well if that happens at THE END of the story,its possible.coz after that,naruto would be invincible n no more stories to tell.But for now no, I believe kishimoto wont make it like that.

 

lets just wait and see what happens, remember Naruto is the younger brother, the one with the spiritual energy of the sage, the true heir of the sage of the six paths powers and his true successor, doesn't sound that impossible tho.
