can any one play GamezAion on windows 8 ?

    doing a bit of research into that. if you can run the game without errors and just can't connect, it is most likely that the no IP restrictions (d3d8thk.dll) doesn't work on win 8

    i extracted the dll and found a reference to whoever made it:
    Fyyre -< binary modifications, etc - by Fyyre >-
    Original filename: AionNoIP.dll
    File version: 2.5.5.0

    interesting thing is the website there also contains the modified 2.7 game.dll for gameforge

    dug around some more, found the twitter of whoever made it, if you feel like contacting her

    edit: turns out the IpFixModule.dll is also hers :p

    actually kinda curious coz retail people couldnt use win 8 after 3.0.0.4 but can use it with 3.5. makes me wonder if its these dlls or the client itself

    i remember alente mentioning recently that their dev server is 3.5 already. there is a chance that once gamez goes 3.5 and u use the retail client, ull be able to log with win 8 just like retail people

    edit: knowing whether retail added win 8 support BEFORE 3.5 would really make this guess work much easier
