Current State of PvP

Dredgion and arenas having CD concentrates the people who want to do them and it's hard enough to get in the dregion now, imagine if it was possible at any time.
Punushing the zerg is complicated (for example if a group is running to the silentera entrance and kills 1 guy they'll all get jailed)
and can't be automated + it won't do anything, people are still still aoeing in safezones even tho that is permabannable.

We all know the server you mean when you mention the custom pvp commands and instances and even tho this question makes me sick every time i see it "why not just go there then? " ..

More than one server features custom pvp commands. Why should I go there? Should we stop improving gamez and implementing popular and fun features because someone else did it already? I think almost all these servers are in Europe, and one doesn't even have wings of the circle lvl1. I don't know about you but 300-400ms and 2.0 attack speed isn't my idea of fast paced pvp action.

Also, I'm pretty sure the perma-ban policy for safezone AoE was removed less than a week after it started. This suggestion was to jail anyway, it's temporary and you can make some general guidelines regarding what is and isn't zerging. It doesn't have to be difficult.

It was never made clear that it even works (I'm pretty sure at least one of them still doesn't) and it certainly wasn't ever encouraged. Even so you can ignore the dredgion and focus on arenas, players are aware of them and constantly entering them.

 

I don't even get why they put the Server of Gamez into NA, i mean only like 10% of the Players here on gamez are from NA.

Custom commands, like .tvt ot .tia or whatsoever....thats going to end up in a mess.
Everyone could easly press .tvt in the middle of a fight to escape. Cooldowns and casting time for such commands would need to be implemented, and thats not easy.

 

They're working elsewhere so I don't see a reason they shouldn't be able to be implemented here.

How about the commands to join instanced PVP can only be used when in Sanctum or Panda? Or to make it more convenient yet, you can only use them out of combat?

 

I should mention that it's relatively easy to add small bug-related checks like this to code. Javascript is designed with things like this in mind. Please don't assume something coding-related unless you know for sure what you're talking about.

Two easy ways would be:

1) A zone check to see if a player is currently in a battleground.

2) A player-specific boolean that would be changed from true/false upon entrance/exit of a battleground.

Want to improve the server?

1. Get rid of the full stigma tree system...
2. Merge the 2 servers...
3. Implement retail like pvp zones...
4. Keep the same high rate.

Gamez Aion should be exactly like retail, just high rate!

That way we can have at least 2 am OL in all time zones, that would reduce hackers on the server improve gaming experience, and breaking the full stigma would balance out the pvp.



And just to add!! We can all wait for 3.5 if the dev's would just do what I wrote above.

an upgrade // improvement to the server and gaming experience is much more valuable to us Gamerz then the damn 3.5 update! The HAC gear the new extends and the new costumes can wait...

Those commands can't be used while in combat zone, this way escaping from a fight can't be done.

 

Thank god someone recorded it, PVP sucks a lot, you get zerged everywhere, pvp in tiamaranta is dead, heiron is full of zergers, gelk is full of zergers, there are just 2 places to pvp (I don't include inggison since most asmo don't go there, just a group or so and they get zerged aswell). Please do something about this, Gamez is supposed to have the best PVP ever and all we see now is just 20/30 noobs zerging 3-5 people all over a map.
