Win8 Solution to work for GamezAion

Using the old Win8Fix to work on version 3.0 i used the same files except the crysystem.dll and i was able to log in on 3.7 version. I just do not know what will be the drawbacks on this but it is better for the meantime than nothing at all until gamez aion releases the official Win8fix for 3.7. Enjoy playing!

 

I can confirm that this does work for those of us that are using Windows 8, the only draw back that I've noticed so far is whenever you unequip your wings (to use them on an alt or remodeling etc etc) you get a sendlog error and the game crashes. It's better than nothing tho.

 

As i have tried to unequipped my wings nothing happens... Its just that the wings cannot be unequipped. It stays on the box on your character profile. Unless you have other wings on your inventory and you wanted to keep changing your wings.

thx for testing the files, hard to come up with a win 8 fix without having win 8 to test on xd

The only thing I noticed is when the message starting to appear "No game server is available to the authorization server" there is no other way you can log in back inside the game except that you need to re-install the gamez aion installer again. And if you have other accounts you will not be able to log it in except on the first account which was successfully logged in. And in order for your other account to be log in the game you need to re-install the gamez aion installer again and by then you will be able to log you other accounts. But then your 1st successful logged in will be not be able to log in unless otherwise you do the re-installation of gamez aion installer. Hope this is helpful info for the dev team. ^_^V

I've played on !aion (since they had 3.7 before gamez) and they had a fix for windows 8 and an alternative fix as well, I'm uploading the .zip file (replace files in bin32 folder, but backup it first) or if this doesn't work try using .bat file with the following parameters:

I am currently installing Aion on Windows 8 and I'll report if this fix works for Gamez as well, if you want you can test it too and tell us if it's ok or not

I've tried the 3.7 fix, 3.0, the bat file, always get that error.
