Learning Chanter~

So here's a little pvp video not edited or anything ( just have my random music that got captured as I was recording xD ) There are definitely some mistakes that i did and some things I should have done, but hey let me know what skills or what should i have done at some scenarios. I usually play alot of other classes , Buttttt Now I want to focus on one and that is the Chanter class. Thanks

why? probably thats why you fight alone in the video, you are in frontline 4-5 vs 1 zomg ~ ^^

 

yeah that is how i normally pvp at times alone vs 5-7 more than that i normally run huehueuhehue. That is a nice song I will add it to my finished video. that video was all on one fight yesterday I think or the day before. I'll record more and hopefully it will turn out well. It is indeed fun and challenging playing as a Chanter.

Watched the first minute and a half, and I'm going to admit I stopped after that.

You popped Blessing of Wind/Unstoppable WAY too early, I counted 11 seconds of both wasted 11 seconds of extra damage/knockdowns is vital. You're missing an extendable staff, which is damn near required to aerial PVP uncrippled. You have Soul Crush socketed instead of Numbing Blow. Numbing blow is WAY too vital against casters to be missing. You're missing insane DPS from lack of weaves in PVP also, which would have resulted in you killing the casters with Blessing of Wind up within a 5 second frame instead of 15.

I'll see if I can get some time this week to sit with you ingame and teach you a couple of things. Those opinions are based off of my own chanter experience, having one at level 60 on both Lumiel and NA Siel Retail. Once you get those bits and pieces down with the gear that you have from the looks of it you'll be able to do at least you v. 7-8 if not more. Only reason I went into detail at all is because you said that you'd wanted to learn.

Yeah that was just a test run I always pop those things early lol once I actually start recording serious pvp videos I'll watch what I do, And please do go in detail that is what I ask for. I am learning after all. I have soul crush instead of numbing blow for a reason but I can always switch things around and see which is better for my play style in the end. In that fight you might not have seen it much but I do have an extendable staff. and I dont just flight pvp it just happens that i was at rashanta and felt like recording. I was using mace and shield for abit of MR against that SM and sorc. Weaves yeah thats one thing I need to learn as well for my chanter. Over all thanks for the comment I will be in game more often with this class so I'm looking forward to it!

Slotting Numbling Blow vs Soul Crush, both are situational and useful, it depends on preference and whether you like having a RNG factor.
Soul Crush damage is RNG in both damage and is stun proc'd, it's fun doing 2-3k soul crush sometimes.

Chanter can beat just about everyones face in when played well there arnt a lot of good chanters but when u fight one you just know its gona suck.

 

Lol yeah that's a practice run , saw the part where I resisted fear xD. I think it's better to record on asmos in side , most the pvp I find is at gelk.

 

You can stumble in the air ...you just cant use stumble skills =3.
