Extendable Swords/Daggers

Hi Guys. Since i cant find much about Extendables on 1 handed weapons such as Swords and daggers i want to post this here for anyone who knows or have had experience with them. And also going back on this post http://forum.gameznetwork.com/f67/dual-extendable-114681/ i would like to know if its illegal/bug abuse to use an extendable Weapon on mainhand and an abg/pvp weapon on second hand. I would like to buy the Distorted dragon lords murderous intent extendable dagger for 2k credits and before i buy it i would like to know if its worth it. how much attack would i loose in pvp compared to an ABG or EAC dagger. And if i were to use the ddl dagger would i need two of them to be a completely extendable Sin? Thanks for any information.

 

id say both of them would have to be extendable to have long range otherwise ud just be hitting with 1 of them at long range. thats just a guess though. its not illegal/bug abuse to have extend on main and pvp on 2nd, why should it xd

 

You only need one weapon to be extend to get the extend benefit. And its not even 100 damage difference between acd and distored for 1h weapons.

i only tested on glad but its the same distance with 1 extend as it is with two extends using distorted mace and acd 1h sword. I guess not like retail o,o?

 

Thank you for your answers. but one person is telling me that I will need 2 another person is telling me that I will need 1. I need someone that has used an extendable sword/dagger to answer. i would buy a triroan or black hearts dagger if they werent 500m in the trade broker.

Go pick up some triroan weaps and test it out for yourself.

 

Ok so it only gives you the extend bonus if the extend is your main hand, if it is in your offhand you will only have non extend range.

If you equip the extendable weapon in your main hand and the nonextend on your offhand you will have extend for both weapons yes.

Okay, so.

If you have your extendable weapon on your main hand both weapons would get the additional range. Due to the fact that main weapon hand range is taken into account (not secondary).

That does mean, yes you could use say for example. A Lannok Sword / Dagger main hand + ABG sword second hand and have them both hit at 3-4m.

If you place the ABG sword or non-extend weapon on main hand, then you will close distance on target no matter what.

Yea just have a extend main hand and non extend off hand and it will still extend. Even though technically this is bugged since its not suppose to be this way. Since in retail it definitely isn't.

 

this does call my attention though, quite possibly worth pointing out...

The second source Smartik pointed out is from first quarter of 2012, not even 1 year ago, so it can be considered as enough to point out the obvious: the extendable system on dual wield is almost certainly bugged. What this comprises is what kind of worries me, seeing as this is quite the unknown fact for most people, which would turn out to be an unpleasant discovery once or if it gets fixed. (directly referring to people who bought one-handed extendables from cash shop)
