Extendable Swords/Daggers

    Because in retail, both hands need to be extendable for it to work. If you only have one it will be normal non-extend range. It has been bugged on this server for a very long time.

    Meh, too much talking for nothing really.

    All you need to know is that you need a ddl dagger on main hand and a pvp sword on off hand.

    well technically not for nothing xd since now people get both extend AND pvp bonus on dual wield, which shouldnt be possible xd would be nice for sins to lose some range or dmg. insta kills from hide r getting kinda old xd

    It would be nice if it were working as it should.

    Sadly it is not, and has not for a long long time.

    Yes, in retail both would need to be extendable to account for the secondary weapons range which should ( if non-extendable ) force distance to target to close from 3-4m to 1m. It just does not do such here.

    Anyway! I am sure people have known that for a long time.

    As for the bug itself? Dunno if it will get changed or not; I mean sins kinda get the short end of things in the long run (more so on siel than lumiel just due to the other classes skills).

    I dont think it would nerf sins as much as hoped...when i think about it any sin who is going to succeed in killing me are the ones who keep you locked in one place through your entire hp bar.

    they forever retain the biggest advantage of undetectable hide xd hide spam really. the first hit can decide everything

    anyways its coz this server only has a main weapon check for extend. u need to set a check for the 2nd slot and a conditional statement to only apply range if both extend

    I think the issue /bug is used as a compensation for assassins, since every other class are using weapon fusing (example spear, staff, greatsword, orb, tome) and for templars who use extendable mace will still be able to use a HAC shield for pvp def. This so called bug allows them to balance out and have extendable + some pvp attack stats (which are still lesser than any 2 hand weapon fuse, orb and tome).

    *Extra info*
    1 hand weapons attack range is not 3m / 4m, the actual attack range is about 2m. (for people who are 300ms above can dream of hitting anything with 2m as i believe they are to lag to do so)

    Therefore i don't see a need to complain if its retail or not retail like as long as everyone can enjoy the game like anyone else in the server.

    I didn't bring this up because i wanted something fixed. I brought this up because i wanted to know a couple of questions. Honestly if i were to spend 2k points on an extendable weapon only having to spend 2k points more to be extendable I would be pretty pissed off. Leave well enuf alone i didnt ask for a fix. Other classes get to be extendable with pvp attack with 7m range why shouldn't sins with 4m. but thank you for all the answers i appreciate them.

    Mmm it's actually 3m for swords / daggers. Stand still and away from the target, if you get a lag spike it is potential to over close that gap though from a stand still, 50ms ping it is 3m. You cannot really tell me it isn't seeing how I did a test to make sure that before I said anything, it was how it was working here on Gamez, sadly the video is deciding to be a pain in the rear and not encoding for me right now. Why? Who knows =(

    So! Telling me something is not how it is when I took the time to go and check before saying anything, doesn't work.

    Spears / GS are 5-6m.

    Of course, yes lag will effect that distance some depending, but it isn't overly that bad. Ping really should only effect skill string timings and not the actual in-game distances outside of relative positions in a line, i.e. running away from someone. You running, they lag, you gain distance. Converse is true there as well. The attack distance is a constant for Sword / Dagger 3m-4m is what the extendable weapons are set to to add range for. Lag will only effect that if it hits right as an attack is going, if you are attacking a moving target; it will still attack at 3m.

    Also, it is not a bug for balance sake. It is simply as smartik has said missing a check or two or three. It may or may not be intentionally left in, but to assume a bug is for balance. That does not make much sense. While, yes I can agree that Assassins pvp attack % would be much lower with out this in the game, it would not effect things as much as would be thought.

    Regardless on that issue, the other classes having fusions or not, is non-with standing as they gain % based stats off the fusion weapon which is known.

    To answer this question. It would really depend on you. As for the issue here being will this eventually get changed to act as retail does? Something that really cannot be answered at this moment in time. For now, One extendable on main hand is enough to give both weapon slots the bonus for the extendable so the 2k credits would not go to waste.

    However, if this issue is at some point then yes you would need to purchase a second one for it to be optimal. That is like I said something that may or may not happen (I would kinda bet on would not as this has been left like this for oh gosh quite some time now.)

    In the end it really is up to you on the matter, your credits and choice after all =p

    Anyway, other matters relating to the bug or not can be pmed to me for further discussion if so inclined to do so.
