New Player!

Hello there. I played retail Aion when it came out for about 6 months, and haven't played since. I've heard there is all kinds of new stuff and I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed. A friend said it was more fun here than the official server b/c of the accelerated rates. I don't know what's on this server vs. official, and this is all very new to me. Is there a place I can get information on gear, instances etc.? I want to know what to shoot for on my assassin. I want to get the best possible PvE gear, b/c I love PvE content. I'll play some PvP later, but I remember getting PvP gear was a pain. Any help?

I love PVE content also! Although AION is PVP oriented you will still love all the PVE content, its just that more people are doing PVP coz boys will be boys and wanna fight and all the good items can be gotten by PVP and getting gold, platinum and mithril medals.

I love PvE on aion. There's always something to do whether it is really hard hard quests, crafting something, farming mats, daily tokens, remodels etc etc

The best pve gear Kahruns/Primal Spirit can be achieved through daily/weekly pvE fast quests (kahrun) or doing instance runs with other players (Elementis Forest/Argent Manor/Rentus Base). Take a look through the forums here a lot of players have asked what to do

wouldnt split it by gender xd im a guy and prefer pve, enjoying quests and the actual lore of the game. have around 870 completed quests on retail and am not even done with beluslan yet. i read each and every one of them (including all the books around aion and quest scrolls/reports). thats just asmo side. eventually i might do the same for elys

its really just a matter of preference. aion stopped being about tactics a long time ago. now pvp lasts around 2-3 seconds at most and its about who has better gear. pve is fun coz u get to plan and use tactics, not just get run over by a zerg

 

Thanks everyone. I feel quite behind and lost, but it's good to see some friendly faces. Since I'm so undergeared but over leveled, could I do some of the solo instances? Seems like with the drop rates just one run through will get me to a survivable state.
