    I've been back for 3 days and have tried multiple classes. I have no clue what to play at this point. What is the most useful class? What is the least played and why?

    If you are fun at hunting opposing fraction I would suggest you Sorcerer Class, If you're a solo type guy Sin/Ranger.
    For Instance , Clerics && Chanters of course.

    This would be my suggestion :joyful: and it all depends on you and what you like.

    For me all class is useful but it depends on what you want to play and your willingness to play that class. But i suggest for the beginner just play Ranger or Sin.

    Haha, Thank you all for the quick replies! I was thinking about playing a sin, Is there any downfall as far as huge bugs for them goes?

    Sins work fine. But if your looking for an aoe class then I suggest player sorc or glad they got some nice aoes that hurt.

    Sin and ranger are good zerg classes, but they got no aoes so it's kill 1 target at a time only.

    If your looking to tank and last a while in a fight then you should play Temp they can tank alot!

    If your the heal kind then do cleric, or chanter - chanter got heals but no group heals however they got mantras and alot of group buffs. Clerics on the other hand got only buffs for them self but they have group heals and clenses which chanter does not have.

    Thank you for the quick reply again! The sin definitely peaks my interest but I'm still a little unsure. I do love the leather armor in the game and sins seem like a lot of fun if you like to skulk around (Which I do). I'm looking at Clerics too because the idea of using a staff is oddly satisfying. How played are both of the classes?

    I wouldn't describe Sin as a beginner's type of class to play. Easy to play for players of all levels would be Gladiators and Rangers.

    Advantage: Very high solo capabilities as you get to stay in hide and pick your opponents. Especially in chaotic environments of high amount of people fighting, you can kill off a mage, scout or few before they get support.
    Sins also have a lot of utility skills at their disposable such as 2+ magic evade, 3+ boost attack, and 5+ stun or lockdown skills.

    Disadvantage: To be successful with this class, it is advised to have very good ping. Firstly the class has the shortest range compared to other classes, so basically you'll need to keep up and not get kited. Secondly auto attacking between skills contributes to half of their damage output, hence why need low ping to weave efficiently. Usually quick kills or knowing when to use what skills is required for survival and victory.

    It may seem to be easy to play class at first but improving as an Assassin is, in my opinion, the hardest learning curve for classes in Aion.
    Though if you're playing on Siel, this changes since you have a load more skills creating an imbalance, simply chaining Runes+Signet Silence+Poison+Quickening Doom can kill someone....

    Thank you for your informative response! I am for sure going to play a sin for my "First" character. They seem like the way I want to play and I run at around 100 ping on average, how is that comparatively?

    Clerics can also use Mace and Shield. Cleric has 2 paths, most people in PvP will go the offensive route and be a hybrid damage dealer/healer. Their playstyle differs from Assassins to a very large scale. Assassins aim to eliminate opponents as fast as possible, while Clerics is the opposite since they can delay defeat through heals and dispells. Many of clerics offensive skills are damage over time and have lengthy cooldowns for the burst skills, buying time allows their victory essentially.

    Edits: Also Clerics can be seem as a more group orientated playstyle. Though you don't have play support, if you're in a group, you're often expected to heal and dispell your allies. (If you don't, I'll frown on you)

    Long as it is below 200, you'll do fine. Infact having 100ms on average, you already have a competitive advantage.

    Chanter uses a staff to but for physical attacks.

    Cleric uses staff for magical long range attacks ( they can use mace to but mace has less ma/mb so less damage and less change of hitting and mace is mainly uses on both classes to tank and heal faster ).

    If you ever do cleric or chanter do Full MR and ma/mb on staff if your doing cleric and crit/ma on staff if your doing chanter.

    MR is a must on these classes otherwise you get silenced 24.7 and hitted by magical attacks.

    Sin are great for sneaking up on your prey and killing them while there weak or alone or when ever you want charge and assassinate them. Sin's got great damage if they use there buffs they got some dangerous buffs, but No point of playing sin if your going to rely on buffs in a fight got to learn to also to kill without using tons of buff/skills

    Note: As Akikaze said seen as your 100 ping you already got an advantage of most people who play sins seen as most sins range from 300-400 ping well not just sins but pretty much every class. so I'm sure you will make a perfect sin.

    Oh I suggest getting woc2 boosters your animation up dramatically it's a really must need if you want to kill super fast.

    Woc 2 also know as " Wings Of The Circle " are wings that give bonus attack speed, as you probably know more attack speed means more speed ( animation ) heres a picture of the stats on the wings.

    [IMG]

    These are the best wings currently in-game but there far most the rarest and most expensive and you only buy them through players or through the black cloud shop on special events for credits. :3

    If you can't afford woc2 then you should get woc1 wings there much cheaper and you can them buy in black cloud trader shop. they have less stats and attack speed however, heres a picture of the stats.

    [IMG]

    To sum it all up

    woc1 = 8% attack speed only.
    woc2 = 24% attack speed.

    WoC2 refers to Wings of the Circle 2. It is an wings equipment that grants bonus attack speed. The lower the attack speed your character has, the lower their animation delay.
    With those wings, you'll have 0.8 (or 0.77 for technicality) attack speed as an Assassin dual wielding dagger/sword. This makes Sins the fastest attacking class in the game essentially.

    Edits: Jensen beat me to it xD

    btw since you're now a newbie sin let me warn you about sorcerers and their wintry armor,
    basically each time you hit a sorc that has that buff you will be inflicted 1050 dmg meaning that if you dont pay attention you will find yourself dead in seconds since assassins attack with many hits...
    you can view the buffs your enemy has below their name so be careful

    If you are trying to help someone then try to give accurate answers, cause you dont know what you are talking about.

    Sins are a zerg class? Sin is the ultimate solo class.

    Chanter has no group heals? Actually they do have 1 group heal and healing mantras.

    Clerics can only buff themselves? Are you sure about this? lol

    @On topic

    If you are a new and undergeared player i would suggest staying away from assassins as their potential is visible once they acquire good accessories and weapons. Though rangers and sorcerers would probably fit you well since they depend less on gear (especially the sorcerers).

    On the other hand, if you are looking to find gear quickly through instances, consider playing with cleric... not only its an excellent class for pve but it also provides a lot of defense and offense if played correctly in pvp. Not to mention, clerics are always in demand for dungeons.

    But in the end it all comes to what you wanna do with your character.
