    Cruellia, oh boy.

His skills are very questionable, people often see him zerging or outnumbering other people. He definetely has some skills, but also he has a full eac set, full kahrun set and some other sets to change, so it at first sight gives him a good advantage. Many people say that he doesn't know how to play, that he only zergs, that he is a noob etc. but I don't agree that much. He shows the chanter completely and if you want to see how's a chanter, you should check his videos.

However, I won't go off topic too much. Cruellia has one of the best sets on retail and there it's very hard to get, chanter is so squishy if you don't have the best set and it's very hard to play because you won't proc your stun on glads if you don't have good set, you won't mr sorcs and sms dispells, and you wont be able to catch up with sins or rangers when they jump on you. He has a lot of advantages and he is ton's of fun, but I wouldn't reccomend playing it on a private server, maybe on retail only if you have really much time for farming and outsetting others.

If you're interested what would be best for you, I would reccomend assassin for your good ping, Sorcerer for it's easiness and ownage that you can do just with the regular combo, cleric because if you know how to play you can sustain so log and you can be unkillable, and any warrior class is ok, they are both very fun. The rest classes are suffering still from the 3.5 update and they will be more op in 4.0 afaik. :)

Very interesting. She's an extremely good chanter. I'll try making one tonight to get a feel for them. Thank you again for your help :)!

Sorry for the double post but I couldn't reply to you. I've been looking at that as well. Chanter does seem like a ton of fun but I think the best course of action for me to take would to just level some classes I find interesting and pick from those. Might be a bit less stressful.

I wouldn't call them squishy. If all classes had the same PvE set, Rangers and Spiritmasters are way easier to overwhelm. It is understandable they need decent gears to survive but that can be said to 75% of the class in Aion. Templar/Cleric/Chanter need armour to tank, Assassin/Ranger/Gladiators need good weapons to kill. Unstoppable is basically their cutting edge against UD, to land stuns. You don't really need "good" set to land stuns since it is magic accuracy dependent and most glads doesn't slot MR. And you can't resist SM's Dispells, even with Aethertwisting =x

Every X.0 update pretty much upset the balance of classes so it is no surprise. 2.0 strengthened Glads and Sorcs quite a lot, Sins suffered. 3.0 strengthened chanters and templars, clerics and SM gained no major bonus. 4.0 will sway things everywhere with 2 extra classes to deal with.

Extra classes you say? Sounds interesting. As for the classes I want to try out I think I'll test the SM first. What's not to like about a pet class, right?

Rangers and spiritmasters are more "squishy" if you reffer in the way they will absorb more damage with same skill than chanter. But the thing about them is that they can kite and they cant let their opponent get near them so sometimes if you know what you're doing, your oponent won't even touch you. Chanter is the opposite, he must get to the enemy to do some damage, despite him having not the greatest set. I find this ratherly amusing when I play my chanter, but it's very hard to acomplish it and sometimes I just give up and let spiritmaster or ranger finish me off. I would call them one of the hardest classes to know, and one of the hardest classes to play if you f.e. had to get 1 free HAC set for any char that you want and if everyone had it, I wouldn't pick chanter 100%.

You could ask anyone around here and most of them will unlike spiritmaster. Ask dondee lol, it's a fun class to play, but it's oddly irritating class when you're playing against. People find themselves often rooted, slowed and feared to the amount that they coulnd't cast 1 skill before they died or couldn't even get to the enemy. You will often find yourself offended and accused of others by being noob, retard, etc. If you roll them, just don't pay any attention to the rest of people who aren't spiritmasters. I find it this way, the spiritmaster has the fear skill like sorcerer has wintry armor and sleep, like gladiator and templar have UD, like cleric has Imperious veil. People don't use this skills very often in duels because you get accused of being noob, but trust me, if you want to use them use them, if you wan't to use spiritmaster just go ahead and enjoy it. I hope I haven't bugged you, I have played spiritmaster on retail and on gamez ages ago, and I was quite annoyed by the people, but afterall it's a big joy to jump in big zerg and fear them all! Good luck with anything you choose, hope you enjoy it.

Got to agree on that chanters are not first pick material and hard to master, able to do many things but not excel in a specific field hurts the reputation of chanters. I'd say chanters are often underrated since their strength is very balanced. Kiting wise, chanter has quite a few long range skills: IJ, MC, Binding Word, that lame 1min cd skill and Annihilation can be counted as semi-ranged. They're also the 3rd fastest moving class to chase targets.

Spiritmasters despite their annoyance also very underplayed like Chanters. The server (on Lumiel) is often populated by Assassins, Rangers, Sorcerers and Templars. In the end, every class has a specific play style. I'm so used to clerics/gladiators, whenever I play chanters, subconsciously I'll play it like a glad/cleric. This never works out well since you can't play a chanter aggressively like a berserker, nor can you play chanter by too defensively like a saint.

No, haven't bugged me at all. In fact, I'm more intrigued by the class. Just one question. If they are "OP" or just easy to play why aren't there more of them?

They are "OP" and especially if you're going to play full stigma (Siel), but actually there are two ways. You can be noob op and you can be pro op, there is one basic combo that you can do, that most of the server does.. It's same with sorcerer. However there is much more into spiritmaster than just fearing, debuffing, putting some cc and killing your opponent. Get to know your class, your enemies and use your brain and you won't have any problems. :)

If you choose to go with chanter, you wont be able to do sh!t until you get good accessories (at least abg, but preferably AC "stay away from gonon") and a DDL staff fused with at least ABG. While if you play cleric > Primal/Tiamat set full ma/mb > GG.

HEY MAN!!! IF YOU ARE REAL NEW IN GAME, THEN YOU REALY "MUST" START WITH THE TEMPLAR!!!
    because:
    1) not much skills (not hard to learn)
    2) big CD on skills (no need to spam your keyboard)
    3) TANK is necessary in all instance
    4) nobody in pvp (zerg pvp) will not kill you (becouse you have 10K+ hp, good defense and its ****ing boring to kill you)
    5) 1vs1(pvp), with potions, you can fight long time (with middle gear), and its ****ing cool + funny
    6) you must check out what i said
    ;)
p.s. if you gonna to play sin, think again about it, to be good sin you <<MUST>> have: 100- ping and worth, strong, best armor in GAMEZAION

As I type this my ping is 62. The highest I've seen was about 120 and peak hours so connection isn't an issue for me. I'm just looking for fun. So far the Sm is a blast regardless of anything said past. Templar was cool I just really felt bland in it. Almost like a dime a dozen feeling.

Spiritmaster is the best class hands down for 1 v 1 I have yet to meet a player that could defeat me on sm...
Chanters are also loads of fun and one of the other "OP" classes out there once u learn to cycle your slows and skills correctly...also with your ping chanter weaving would be a blast.
Sins i hate um just not the class for me
With rangers the name of the game is dont get hit ..that takes a lot of practice
Clerics are also very good pvp class , but their dps is quite limited and they need to be almost Full mr to survive so hence they have problems hitting their opponents
Templar is a great class for fighting multiple opponents..just learn who to attack first and learn to cycle your buffs.
Glad is probably the best all around solo pvp class their is very tanky for short durations and can unload a shit ton of dps
Sorc....meh its alright it is kinda boring
I'd be happy to help you out with a starting set or give you pvp tips if you need them.
Lol oh really I guess I dont count here then :/
