Guys, stick to the topic and not have a fun chat about who is better.

While chanters might be underrated leading to their low popularity. SMs are sort of overrated in strengths. There is no denying SMs are incredibly powerful in most aspects, especially 1vs1 battles. However the class actually depend on their overpowerness to win, most of their damage skills are damage over time (DOT). If a SM doesn't use their strong skills like, silence, bind, fear etc, and only rely on DoTs alone, then they're a sitting duck.

While other classes who don't utilise their strong skills can still win battles. Gladiators without UD can still do well, Rangers without debuffs/buffs can still hurt, Sorcs just launch a nuke and you're dead. SMs have to stack their DoTs and watch you die sadistically. You can stack a bunch of DoTs on a Gladiator but if you don't bind or root them, they'll immobilize to close distance and boom you die in 5hits.
