Cannot connect to the authorization server? win7

I have fully updated Aion etc, any ideas?

 

I'm having the same problem with win8 64x
downloaded the given software 4 times and installed it over my original game folder,
I can start the game but I keep getting the same errors.
first error : "You are already logged in!"
second : "Can't connect to authorization server"

I've tried pretty much everything to fix it but I can't manage to do it

That is because it is a different error. The fix is for "No server available to the authorization server". In your case it sees it, it just can't connect. Let me guess, you use the gameforge client? If you do, scrap it, get ncsoft launcher, get a clean install of theirs. The gameforge one won't work with private servers.

 

I use the NCsoft launcher that has been on my comp since 09, is there an updated launcher I need to get somewhere?

 

Did it randomly stop working overnight or are you just coming back to this server. This also happens when your client is out of date. Go to your aion folder and check version.ini. If it is anything below 3.5.0.6 your client is too old. In any case I would recommend repairing your client in the ncsoft launcher since it updates at the same time. 3.5.0.12 is the latest version and is fully supported here.

Is your Region set to North America?

Could you try hitting "Update" rather than Repair? See if something happens. After that, try running retail through the NCSoft Launcher. If there's something missing/wrong, the Launcher should fix it on its own.

Try that and let me know if it worked.

 

If he has the latest version the update button won't be there. There is nothing missing since the client runs until login screen just fine. I would do the good old fix that usually helps. Delete everything inside your bin32 folder except for aion.bin, then repair. These crappy connection errors happen because of the dll files that don't match there, this is the best way to make sure they do.

You will have to reinstall the gamezaion launcher once that is done, because it puts d3d8thk.dll inside your bin32 folder which lets you authenticate for private servers. If you don't have the file atm, that is the reason you can't connect.

 

Mhm. I see. Yea, if you can run the game but not connect, I'd either do what Smarty said or get a brand new, fresh install. =P
