and bcoz u are on a stigma system u cant kill them in just a combo. unlike in siel..

see after http://forum.gameznetwork.com/f63/[official]-freefly-poll-v2-114228/#post1341749 this was ignored for 9-7 months after its making momo made a reply to it and THEN alente took a look and only 1 of the 4 features he mentioned was implemented and that's cause retail did it too (the removal of level requirements for rifts), and we did have permanent rifts at one time, now it's just 3-all rifts at one time and then NONE for the next 2 hours in both zones (per race)
location still works (understandable) and the eye entrances were recently added (1 year after the thread )

I do agree with the removal of woc2, but considering all the work required and oppinion can vary a lot, it is a hard work.

i also want to tell people to not be paranoid by woc2. I mean, sure it might be a bit game breaking, but why dont u just deal with it and play?

that is the real "the speed it is supposed to be". Are you sure the speed in the video is much slower than the speed we are atking with woc2?
Don't get me wrong i do agree with the idea of removal of woc2, but I just wish people to stop being paranoid with it.
Just cause it boosts people's atk speed by a lot, doesn't mean it's the thing that is breaking the game, cause everyone benefits from it and what woc2 really does is get people in gamez to attack as fast as how the real speed is meant to be.

 

pretty much agree, a spear with candy/title and scroll is 1.6, the cap is 1.4 so is everyone crying over 0.2speed or the scrolls ? more than 80% of the people in gamez got 300+ ping so woc2 is just "reducing" it by 200, big deal

Want a real solution? At least I think this would be a real solution, but it would also require quite some dedication and sacrifices: Let Siel and Lumiel die while starting over without the OP items.

Now before someone comes and tells me it is ridiculous, can't be done, or is counterproductive, let me explain in detail:

It is nearly impossible to rid a society of an immune disease, so what you do is start a new society making sure the disease doesn't get in. A tough but realistic solution. In order for this to happen in Gamez, a new server would have to be opened. But let's face it, why would Carl want to start a new server with no OP items giving him money, the thought of it is bad enough: not enough population to maintain such a thing and no item on demand to get high profit from the deal.

Now here's what you guys are forgetting. He is making money with Siel and Lumiel, so what you need to do is support YOUR idea YOURSELVES and then hopefully outsell Siel or Lumiel. To be more specific, Carl needs to get convinced of this, and since this is your idea, I'd recommend a suggestions thread be made about how the new server should be in terms of what items should be taken out, rates, pvp type, open maps, etc.

But then Carl wouldn't want to pay for a new server altogether, so the next step is simple: do a kick-starter campaign. Open up a donation site where you can donate an x amount of money to the project. Should the project take off, your contributions will be met with certain advantages for you in the new server. Should the campaign not take off, a refund would be put in progress, which shouldn't be so difficult considering it's untouched money until either the campaign goal is met or the deadline is reached.

Let's suppose the campaign goal has been met. The server can be started and maintained for anywhere from 3 months to a year (unrealistic assumption there considering server expenses). Next (sort of unethical)step (to a point): offering a better service than in Siel/Lumiel. Start by offering special deals if you create a character or account in the server, like giving VIP benefits for a longer amount of time for simply joining the server (ofc only applicable to the new server), offering starting item sets as well as increased vote rewards for contributors.

In the matter of events, holding advertising events could be quite rewarding (e.g. holding a contest for best youtube video advertising the new gamez server). Designating a few GM's from the other servers (say one from each server) to watch over the new server for the while shouldn't impact the progress of the other servers too much and it would show a desire for Gamez to focus on the new server (point here being, start making subtle remarks that the new server is to be taken attended better than Siel and Lumiel).

If the suggestions thread is followed and its suggestions really are what people desire, migration to the new server should be expected. So how about offering a sacrificial transfer service: transfer your character from Siel/Lumiel to new server (perhaps for free), exchanging all items in the character for an amount of credits proportional to the items held. Should the new server not be of your liking, you can opt to transfer back at any time during the first month for free and regain all your items in the server you were in (while losing the credits/items from the new server, of course).

At this point, a decent population should be playing in the new server, and if the right modifications have been made, the "OP Items" you guys keep complaining about shouldn't exist in the new server, along with any modifications proposed in the suggestion thread. So, how about some special cash shop deals? I'm sure something can be thought of that can potentially replace the godstones or WoC as main source of donations. With the amount of items in the Aion universe, that realistically should be the least of the issues.

So now, a decent population is playing, and if the suggestions were what people wanted, that population should become stable. If cash shop deals were offered, some income should be produced. From this point on it's quite simple: hope the donations being made are enough to maintain the server after the kick-starter funds run out. Realistically, if the community really cares about this server or game, this shouldn't be an issue. Holding monthly events to have the community advertise the server should theoretically be enough to keep the new server up and running.

At this point, ladies and gentlemen, your "solution to everything" should be met: Siel and Lumiel will have less population, care, and demand than the new server. People will start to complain but we've seen this before in...other projects.. at this point, either rinse and repeat for a second new server while letting Siel and Lumiel die out and eventually shut down, or simply keep the Aion community as one server(which I'm sure won't be the case since not everyone likes all stigmas and not everyone likes retail stigma system).

Yes, I did just write a huge suggestion about being negligent and yes, I did just post it to the entire community that in theory would be neglected. Now lemme go get a shower, I haven't taken a bath in 3 days....
