4.0 Interface fail

Someone at NCsoft got drunk and started redesigning interfaces for no real reason. This is the result



Aka how to take away all traces of useful information. Smash everything together and hide as much info as possible.

The ones for the stats of gear is weird and confusing. The one of the systems and options I don't mind at all.

 

Don't like either xd they took all my free settings and shoved them into categories you now have to search through. As for stats, that got funny
1. No fusion info of any kind
2. No base stats or bonus stats
3. No manastone names/stats
4. No godstone name
5. The new iridian stones say absolutely nothing, "strong" doesn't really tell me what it does
6. I prefer words for trade states, the pictures are confusing

I wonder what went into them. Of all the games I have played Aion was one of the easiest gear stats to read, now is... weird.

 

Just noticed the shortcuts comment at the bottom of the stats page, gonna try it next time I get on to see if I can get anything reasonable out of it again. Hope I can change the view permanently too, this new thing is garbage.

 

The only thing I could possibly hate about this is what they did to the item info window. With the manastones and everything... Looks retarded. It's almost too simple, or they're trying to compensate for space by taking information out.

and wait, manastone stats don't show up when you hover over them? .__.

 

No, the thing that is stupid, is that you can hold alt+mouse scroll and you can change the way the gear stats look, and there is the old familiar way... Why did they changed it in the first place? It makes no sense.

The think that is neat is the music in the login screen, epic.

You can't hover over them, because you stop viewing the moment you move your mouse away from the item. Didn't even notice enh level out of 30. I can already see a ton of twink weapons or overpowered item mallers taking over.

 

so if you accidentally socket your shit with a different manastone and you're not sure if you did it or not and you wanna look, you can't?
shit, they're trying to make it look better, which they did, but in reality they're making it less easy to use hmph

 

Well at manastone remover you don't have to hover, the manastones would be listed. I will check out the comments at the bottom of the map about changing the view, wanna see if there is a normal one as well because this one is horrible.

 

Well, that's that. It's disappointing. I'll stick with the old one.

 

If you want to see the stats in different way just press alt while viewing the item (that way it isn't lost when you hover the mouse over it) and click on those little dots at the bottom... the second one is for the original stats view... the third you see the info about whether you can trade the item, put it in wh and so on...
Personally I don't care about the interface that much... The only thing that irritates me is the name of the 1st class of gunslinger - technist?? Should't it be technician?

 

I love the transparency though. I can finally have my consumables cube open without having a block of colour distracting me

You can see the socketed manastones using the Alt+ Mouse Scroll.
Either way, the new UI is horrible for item previewing. Everything else is decent, but unnecessary like the stupid World Chat tab that you can't get rid of.

And Gunslingers is not as fun as many might think. The class is plagued by many of its chain skills sharing the same cooldown, hence it is heavily reliant on its refresh cooldown skills.
