If you like the World War Z Book and haven't yet seen the movie...

DON'T SEE IT! Seriously the movie was NOTHING like the book. The zombies weren't real zombies, a lot of the the crap was stupid, and they even found an "immunity" to the virus. Oops I spoiled the ending. And Puddles will probably close this thread and ignore the Aion crap ones because s/he(it?) can. HUehuehuehuehuehuehuehuehuehuehuehue But yeah the movie was terrible and if I would have paid for it instead of seeing it with my dad I would be planning my road trip right now to go to Brad Pitt's house to get my money back. I'd rather have seen Pacific Rim. Giant Megazords fighting Monsters, can't go wrong with that. Also has Jax from Son's of Anarchy and the awesome Ron Perlman in it. Anyways rant over go back to your ordinary forum business

not too impressive movie really ... you can't even see zombies that really eat people, they are like insane vamps, they bite and leave the person just like that.. no eating of FLESH !!!!!!!!!!!

 

And the fact that zero gore... its no zombie movie at all.

 

It was my sister's fault. My dad and I wanted to see Pacific Rim but she's weird and doesn't like the giant robot stuff. Bah, girls. Disregard women, acquire elo. Anyways so we went to see World War Z, which would have been decent if it had any other name but I was expecting stuff like what was IN THE FREKKIN BOOK! Seriously Max Brooks(author of the book) is either a sell out who lost all my respect or got ripped off and should lawyer up and sue the asses off of these movie people.


Also Rakharo from Game of Thrones was in it. I thought he would have a pretty big part seeing as he quit Game of Thrones(even those his character in the books plays fairly big part in the Daenarys chapters) to do this gig. Nope about 10 minutes after you see him the dumbass literally trips and accidently shoots himself in the head. If I went to see the movie myself I probably would have stood up, waved my arms in exasperation, yelled out "DONE!" and left the theater right there.

 

Happens, now grab that wallet and go see Pacific Rim.

Epically lame, and with the name they're totally being cheap and trying to pull in readers and fans of the awesome book.

If you want REAL zombie action, watch the Walking Dead and read the World War Z book, along with the Zombie Survival guide.

In fact when I come to power one of the my first laws will be mandating that the Zombie Survival guide be required reading in all grades of all schools and that every family must have at least 3 zombie plans.

Nah the zombies were like what that one guy said. Hyperactive vampires that bite you and then just move on while you turn into one of them in about ten seconds or so. They're more like the "mutants" in I am Legend than anything else

 

I am legend was also based in a book. And the movie also had little to nothing to do with it. Real shame, the original story is just a trillion times more awesome.

 

Personally liked the movie but most of the situations were predictable. Still had fun screaming and hugging my friend alex :>

 

I heard there was also a movie based on the book make years and years ago that had a much better story
