Explanation *Please Read*

Okay, let me start from the beginning.. I had a bug that over time my game would start to speed up, not just my character but my game. I brought this to a GM`s attention who then evaluated it and could not figure out the problem.. then a developer tried to and he checked my files and everything and came to a conclusion that it was something in my registry that was doing this. A head GM said to reformat or you will be banned for `bug abusing`. I refused and he banned me. You guys arn`t getting that I was checked and everything.

PS. This info was kept by the head admins and gms.. ask them about me.

 

Listen, I'll make it simple for you.

Even if we WERE to believe and attempt unbanning your account, it's already gone/deleted.

The system auto-deletes inactive accounts in 5+ months of not logging in. So either ways, you'll have to start over again.

Curious what "developer" that would be since only a moron could say that. If he knew it is the registry, he would take care of the exact entry. No registry value would randomly speed up a game. Besides the fact that aion is very registry independent. It doesn't need an installation as the very basic registries (just hardware you have) are created on first run.

The only one I would be willing to believe is if the client was torrented. A few years ago there was a torrent that had an embeded speedhack in it and a lot of players reported an issue where they were moving too fast on the forums because they couldn't tell what was up.

So yeah, stiffman's plight sounded familiar to me. I remember being around when it happened and looked it up. He was told by Asanka, and old gm, that he may have to reinstall Aion or reformat his computer.

He does seem to be telling the truth on this matter as several AM's did get involved, but as Meanz stated the account has most likely been deleted by now for inactivity and almost every AM from around that time are either gone for good or no longer AM's.

 

There is an amazing lack of detail in that thread xd Also lack of detail from him. They never mention registry there, Asanka's comment is ridiculously generic as only people with absolutely no clue would say just format your pc, they did mention his connection which is a joke as that could only cause delays (seriously even people here with 10-50 ping don't "speed up"). He also didn't mention whether it was just his skills that were faster or the entire game (his speed, mob walking/attack speed etc.)

If it was just his skills, it could have been the early era of skills.pak edits where they ditched animations. Still don't know whether it was a legit client from ncsoft or a torrented one.

Come to think of it, mine will be gone now too. That makes me a bit sad, but oh well. 2 years is a long time to be gone from the game. Would you really be happy logging in to an old account, with everything having changed? Nobody would know your character, you probably wouldn't know what to do, maybe everything you had would be worthless and untradeable.

There's been so many changes that a lot of people would probably start back over anyway, so look at it on the bright side - you may not have lost as much as you thought, and now you have a perfectly good reason to start over and see all that there is to see that you may have missed. Now you can level up and meet new people. So while it may suck to lose your account, there's a lot of good in it too, if you decide to look at it from that perspective.

Install it, start over again, and have some fun exploring .

 

I agree, its just with people telling me that I was speedhacking is pissing me off.. no GMs look into the fact that evilset(i looked at my old threads) Teamviewed me and said I didnt hack. but on another thread Euphy said I did speedhack and closed my threads. Just because it looks like that does not mean it is. I had a DEVELOPER a person who deals with stuff like this check my pc and my game for like 4 hours or something and he said i was clean and he did not know what was wrong. Mind you this was 3 years ago so things mightve changed.

 

Yeah, I know it sucks, but look at it this way, almost all of those old GM's are gone now anyway, so there's really only the evidence presented in that thread. I doubt Meanz meant to be rude or anything like that, but in his/her defense your thread would sound a bit silly to anyone who hadn't seen the original. Still, since the thread came to light I'm sure the GM's would've gladly taken a look into it, but its hopeless now due to how long ago it even happened.

I'm sorry you got banned back then, none of us can say if it was right or wrong, but no longer should anyone be accusing you, so at least you can start over fresh without worrying about it, and enjoy the game and all the new changes to see.

I would like to point out that being labeled as a developer doesn't really mean he knows what he's doing. I mean come on lol, there are major bugs here that have been here for months without fix, there are others that he personally introduced by screwing up. There were times these guys added more bugs than they fixed. Besides, he deals with server side, not the client or PCs in general, and doesn't do a really good job with that either. So yea I wouldn't take his word as absolute just because he has a funky purple forum name xd

So, basically you got banned. Your saying that there was nothing you could do about the speeding up?

I've seen some bugs in the past that caused that, like even more recently, there was one with mounts and windstreams.
Couple older ones I remember.

However, it would be practically impossible to do anything with this case; even with the thread, and posts, and such there. As my constituent pointed out, an account that old? Most likely was deleted, though as for banned accounts im not sure, I can still look up ones from a couple years ago. So, once I get some time I'll see if I can do some digging?

Not going to say we will remove the account lock or not if it still exists, because in all reality, there is nothing but a post from you saying a Developer checked your computer.

Now, as horrid as this may sound and seeing how I'll play devils advocate for the sake of playing it here with you, aside that this thread has gone on long enough.

Regardless of what you say; your words are not enough you need solid proof.
Secondly, to claim someone from Staff at one point checked out your computer, for you; to which you provide NO Evidence of other than 'He said / She Said' basically.
Third, team viewer in and of itself in a situation like this would be flawed as all living -bad word-; just the notion here is this:
