New video card?

ok here we go....i m mad on fking 9500 gt video card i think is toooooo old for aion....any ideea about a new one?at last something to work decent ? thx for any suggestion! just say whut u know it work good ...i m going to shooping in a bit

well i just got my new card works pretty descent to me, its Radeon Hd 7970 Oc with boost 500aud works perfectly without any problem in aion.run in ultra settings without any lag

@OP You have to state your budget and options you can pick from. Not all cards will be available near you and importing isn't really an option in many cases due to high customs fees, shipping, insurance and whatnot. Anyways if you want a realistic comparison I suggest this site

get a gtx 690 plox , pay 5000 lei for it.

 

get a dual gtx 690 quad sli and oc it using precission x

 

Biggest waste of cash ever. The gpu scaling on this thing is ridiculously inefficient considering the 690 is a dual gpu card on its own. I don't even wanna get into the compatibility issues and heavy reliance on sli profiles, not to mention the power consumption.

 

Lol some of you suggested some pretty expensive cards without considering that he might have an old system. If he has a bad CPU then it is not even worth paying over 80 euro for a graphic card. He should either get a new PC or buy a cheap card which will boost his gaming experience as much as possible. Anything new that costs 80 euro nowadays is A LOT better than what hes using, so id go with that.

Consider

1: What if his power supply cant handle those graphic cards (which is very likely)? He would have to buy a new power supply as well
2: What if his CPU is some dual core 2.2 gh crap that wouldnt run aion well even with 500 dollars worth of graphics card?

Aion takes no advantage of SLI or Crossfire configs.
Plus can lead to some driver issues.

 

the thing is ...yeah my system is kinda old.....i had a decent mother board and a video card 8500 gt when i bought my pc about 5 years ago. and god..the 8500 gt was much better than this crap 9500. anyway my cpu is dual core e4400 and power suply is a good one 500w "made in germany" they dont make shlts. . bcs of a usb stick my mother board/video card had burn and i replaced with 1st shlts i found on a shop. now after i was taking a look on my area shops..i decided t change mother board+cpu also..now about prices here is a BIGGGGGG list..
so for start i decided about video card...SVGA GA GT 640 2GB DDR3 N640OC-2GI

this one..is about 90 euro..now i will think to others 2 pieces..i wish a i3 processor and a good mother board maybe gygabite..

 

Gotta love how you judge quality by "made in germany" xd Doesn't mean it will last forever. Neither does it mean that it won't burn if you put in hardware that draws more power than the power supply can handle.

You do see the graphics card draw more than tripled right? xd This card is on the edge, newer cards would draw even more and your old power supply would burn

 

well it s kinda hard t made a system over the night....wanted t change only video card with a decent one only for playing aion decent also^^ that 9500 gt when i see more than 4'5 asmos on screen fken lag a lot ..or sometimes games simple stop till i die:d..is not about money but i dont wana waste to much just bcs i can do something else with my euro's^^. but i know sure that 9500 gt fk my gameplay fun..before of it i had a nivida 8500 gt with cooler active/passive and god...it was ultra good for aion on medium settings. i was playing sro for yearz...on hq ...when i used the 9500 gt on old 8500 video setting...surprise...it didnt work a shit...whole display grey...so i had t push down quality t play. whut u suggest me smartik....take a look on this site..is a store like at 5 m far to me.. videocard/motherboad/cpu...i dont like virtual shops...

Pretty decent value for money card. It would let you keep your old power supply with some tolerance and give you decent enough performance to handle the HD graphics engine. Your pc is getting old overall though, a 2.0ghz dual core isn't much.
