Why quote me? I'm not saying it's new or surprising and even tho i knew about this class i'm still disappointed.
Remember the 3.0 "vision" trailer? Yeah, the swimming mechanic is nowhere to be found so i guess a lot of people were expecting the mech to be abandoned like a lot of other stuff too.
+ that goes in my defence that not a lot of people are excited about it because they knew

Templar Forever . . .I love aion, but I just can't keep up anymore. I miss the good old days. For sure there will be many people will abbandon there old preferd class just for a new class . . . Templars and gladiators made perfect sense. Mages, made sense. Priests made sense. Scouts made sense. Bards made sense - they fit in well with the sort of "medieval type" characters. Gunners, in my opinion, meh.. was pushing it. Robots..... seriously ridiculous , "Spartan to Gundam"

nothing makes sense in this game lol

does the dredgion spaceship make sense?
a portal to an alternative dimension of poeta's future? (dark poeta instance)
4/5ths of the costumes? (jeans and furry suits, chainsaw greatsword and a LOT more)
    flying bike mounts?

It's actually Chain from what I remember reading months before 4.0 came out. This class was suppose to be released with the GS and SW but they decided to pull it back a few updates.

^this, why I am not "surprised" that they are putting 29th century crap into "medieval aion"...

someone also noted how shugos and shulacks use advanced engineering as well, and they're right... lightbulbs, portals, elevators, dredgions, that one vehicle in Aturam Sky Fortress, the robots and sentries the balaurs use in esoterrace and Aturam Sky Fortress, even the aetheric fields, it's basically in the same scope as EMPs and stuff like that..there's also damned tanks in rentus, and no one complained about that being futuristic..

P.S., sorry for quoting you back there, I just was too lazy to multiquote xd

well i guess you could relate the dredgion/portals/elevators(some of them) to magic (since the dredgion seems to be biological from all the pulsing and hearbeats inside)
the lightbulbs/tanks/robots/sentries/ that balaur and shugos use are more "steampunk"ish but the damned gunner and mech are beyond that

Compared to THAT, templars are just some dumb fks with plate armor, not real tanks.

I particularly found it quite interesting this new class ... despite its size, it is not OP in my opinion it has to have a balance of classes .. but we'll see how it goes this part of the skills developed .. Obviously sneaks a bit of context to be something involving magic with the medieval era, but Aion has many scenarios and things involving technology and the 4.0 will surely have even more! So one would expect for a class involving technology ..
I'll keep playing with the classes I like and killing the old and new classes, for me there is no such thing as being too much or too little OP! just play and have fun!

wait wait... what? I thought Bard/Songweaver are Cloth types?

I am getting confused... Aion took a nasty overhaul turn due to these new "Classes".

You obviously don't read or play the normal server o.o bards are cloth...the Aether tanky things are going to be chain. There is a forum out there about the new plate class. Last I read it was some sort of tech as well involving dragons and summoning.
