A render with dante that i worked at...tried few new tehniques for his skin and clothes after a tutorial made by lonewolf.
Effects and background in photoshop.

The render is pretty good, but the art piece as a whole could use a lot of improvements. The first thing that stands out is how the lighting is so heavy on the character, and nothing on the background. I noticed a shadow behind him, particularly around the head, but nothing to reflect this shadow on--like a wall, yaknow? Because it's so heavyly blurred it doesn't blend the images together at all, so it literally looks like you only put two images together and blurred one. The smoke C4D, or render is too heavy, and too blurry to blend in as a front part of the art.

Last thing I'd change to is position of your text. Because the text is on the top left corner of your large art piece it draws the eye away from your focal point (the dante render). Move it closer to dante, and try to blend it in. Maybe use a clipping mask on the text.

it's ok . Is no shame to recognize I kinda suck with the shadows.
I'll be honest with you, I use photometric lights and sometimes standart(but just sometime) in 3D studio max.

And since I add gaussian blur over the model in photoshop and set it on one of the blends...it might kill some shadows . I just need a better window to see the way light should stay...but I haven't followed a art school or something is all just a hobby...so ya kinda hard on your own if u know what I mean
