Aion itself or still the NCSOFT ?

 

Go to your NCSoft launcher, select Aion and click update.
It will install another folder called NCWest in which the new aion launcher is at
With the new launcher, you patch to 4.0 yey

 

Just read this Aion Installer Guide and then if you have it already. Read what ive typed earlier with the Direct Download Patch.

 

apologies that reply was mean for patton..as for your question, Extract the update at the $patch$ folder on NCsoft (not NCwest)

 

WTH?! my "Game Launcher" doesn't state what stage am I, so it means I'm still not in stage 1 right =/

 

you;re on stage 1 of it se'z "downloading update" or sumpthing..the first part's the largerst file to download so it'll take time.the launcher's timer's also messed up so it seem to get stuck on 12%-13% or whatever..after that it'll start at part 2..

 

do u take file repair? yess on 14% will moving but took verryyy longgggg

 

WHY WHY WHY people started updating to gamez 4.0 a day before the update is released. THIS IS PROCRASTINATING! should have done this a week or when AION-Retail has released 4.0. I updated mine after retail released theirs. What i have done is, I deleted all my aion folder including gamez aion folder. Started all over by going to Aion Retail website and got the new launcher there and start updating my client to 4.0. I made a copy of the retail folder and did the downgrade from gamez community guide and did the downgrade. Now my 4.0 folder is up and ready for tomorrow's update while I'm playing Gamez Aion happily till tomorrow's update.

Always keep two clients.
One named Gamez and the other AION. Aion updates, Gamez remains, then you swtich/copy/delete folders and tadaa!

 

I finished the 9 steps and when i pressed install it started normally, after about 20 minutes it stopped at 59% and it was like that for 2-3 hours so i just closed it and restarted pc, then now im trying again and this is what i keep getting even though i already tried to repair it several times




This is stupidly hard, ffs its just a game why would it be so complicated..


PS: I just copy pasted the missing file and folder (yes the whole thing was missing, it wasnt even there) from my extra aion folder and it continued normally, now lets wait and see if it ll give me more errors.

PS2: Ok it is giving me new errors now and every time i copy the items from my extra aion folder it deletes whatever i pasted prior to that, lol fk this..

 

Are you downloading a fresh Aion?

My NCsoft folder is the one that increasing (bytes) not the NCwest folder is this right?

 

I got pissed off and copy-pasted the whole extra aion client in the NCSFOT Aion folder that i was updating, it went normally up until 57% and it stopped on file 1488/2199 just like before, only this time it has already moved up to 60%, still dont know what is going on TBH.. im just gonna let it update.

 

i sugest delete all old ramaining version of AION and download a fresh copy to aviod getting error. thats what i did and i ddidnt get any freakin erreo what sooo evah... just sayin

 

I update my sister aion client 2 weeks before the updated so im no worries now xD

just waiting for the gamez update to 4.0 in august 7 in our time

 

Ok so this is how i updated my client.

At first when i pressed update there were 9 stages, it finished relatively fast. Then when it was done it had the install button, i pressed it and it gave me 1/2199 and it started updating, at some point when it reached 1488/2199 at 57% it stopped and i thought it lagged but it actually had not.. it was downloading the update file which is 4.3 GB, so i waited a little until it was done and when the 4.3 GB file was done downloading, the update continued until 2199/2199. Then it made a last file check and the game loaded normally.

PS: Before you start updating your client it is advised to make a clean copy of it somewhere on your desktop, if you get some errors that files are missing then simply copy-paste the files from the clean client to the one you are updating.

PS2: The whole patch file is around 20gb and the update is 4gb, so if your connection is slow then you might wanna start downloading it by now. I think it is safe to delete the patch file once done.

 

WAAAAAAA! I made my computer overclocked and it's still on 26%.

What if I turn of my pc , will the update be canceled or pause then will resume after I turn on my pc again?
