4.0-Specific Bugs Thread

Feel free to use this thread to report any new bugs that have shown up with 4.0.

I will also document any known issues and potential fixes here.

Known Issues:

• Godstones/Manastones missing - relog your character to fix this bug (may not always work, being worked on)
• Random item showing in all gear slots - relog your character to fix this bug.
• [strike]Characters leveled down to 9[/strike] - fixed
• In-game cash shop not showing item descriptions on mouseover - known issue.
• No game server is available to authorization server (6) - close your game and launch it via the GamezAion official launcher (run as admin)
• [strike]Scroll duration is 5 minutes[/strike] - fixed
• [strike]Windstreams giving bugged speed[/strike] - fixed
• Some Gunner mechanic issues (expected) - being looked into
• [strike]SM 4.0 pet data not fully parsed[/strike] - fixed
• Windows 8 Compatibility - [strike]Aion seems to be having issues with W8.[/strike] Fixed - run your GamezAion launcher for an update.
• Ranger trap issues - being investigated.
• Minor skill issues with Sorc/Chanter - being worked on.

Characters leveled down to 9 - you will need to go finish your ascension story quest then level up again =p

I dont have ascension quest shown

 

Windows 8 updates and everything hit the play button and it crashes on the NCSOFT loading screen help please

 

There is non Servers page , after i log in - agree to that things , it show no thing but an empty page ..

 

You should have a quest in Sanctum/Pandaemonium to continue.

It's what happens right after you ascend, seems a few people stop bothering with the campaign the second they get teleported to their main town

This is not the thread to report issues with your client specifically.

Sounds like you haven't updated your base client. Run the NCSoft Aion launcher, file repair, and then reapply the item.pak.

Login error

 

I am currently running on windows 8. I used the windows 8 fix from your downgrade guide. However, after applying the changes to the bin32 and attempting to start the client, I get this message"
"For 1.9.0.X Clients Only"
"Please delete the ncsoft/aion/bin32/d3dx9_38dll and try again"

After I delete the file, I try to load up the screen again and it gives me the "no authorization server is available" (or whatever its called ) error.
Any suggestions?

Does it work on the latest Aion update , cause i was playing it b4 and updated to the last version , i did a copy t, and i downgraded .. so if it works ill restore that copy and reapply the item.pak.

 

u need to use the windows 8 fix guys, also asmoblade u updated ur aion and gamez launcher?

 

I used the windows 8 fix. And that message popped up telling me to delete the d3dx9_38dll file. After doing that, it gave the login error (no game server is available to the authorization server"

 

Windows 8 fix doesn't work tells me I need to delete it

OP updated with links to the quest for each faction you need to complete to get past 9.

 

Sounds like you got a long night...and a long day....and probably another long night coming, I feel bad for you lol...

AFterhmath quest doesnt work it get stuck at step 5 (i kill those balaurs but nothing hapens)

 

Can't wear DDL weap after i got level 64 Y_Y i thought the u made the level cap to 65

 

Ahhmnnn I still can't get into the game. I already reinstalled the Gamezaion launcher. I still have the "Aion gameclient has stopped working" every time I open the gamez launcher. Retail works fine using ncsoft launcher. My prob is with Gamez. I can't get in. Wonder what went wrong?

 

Hmm i update the client and launcher and i start the game...that write to me the aion game client are stopped..every time
