The fall season is here!

Since I don't want to create a new thread about animu and stuffs, I will bump this thread. Also, I have not read any of the manga or VN or anything that has anything to do with these animes. The stories are all new to me.

There might be some very minor spoilers in this post, depending on what you think is a spoiler.

This past week was the start of the new anime season, What are you guys watching this season? I have quite a few, so here's a list of what I'm watching (all airing, most only have one episode out so far, some have two):


Aoki Hagane no Arpeggio: Ars Nova (Arpeggio of Blue Steel) - Reminds me a lot of Suisei no Gargantia from the Spring season.. technology, cool looking 3d effects, things that want to wipe out the human race but seem somehow connected to humans. Those are about the only similarities though.. I'm just not sure what to think yet since only 1 episode is out.


BlazBlue: Alter Memory - I never played the games, but Gracie used to always talk about how awesome they are so I decided it would be good to watch anyway. The sword-fighty action looks pretty awesome and the music is pretty good too. Ragna's past seems very intriguing and I want to see some more of it.


Coppelion - The eeriness of this anime makes me want moar episodes! Hopefully some more action in the future too.. like I said.. eerie atmosphere. Similar animation to K. Love me some genetically altered highscool babes.


Kill la Kill - holy shit wtf did i just watch this is awesome hell yeah. Art style reminds me of Gurren Lagann. Looks epic!


Kyoukai no Kanata (Beyond the Boundary/Horizon) - Well then.. KyoAni is doing some pretty cool stuff I guess Awesome highschool hottie-in-glasses that can use her own blood as a weapon and a half-dude-half-youmu immortal, how is this story gonna go eh o.o


Log Horizon - Seems like the SAO storyline so far except the execution is a bit different.. something to hold me out until another season of SAO (if they ever make one D


Machine-Doll wa Kizutsukanai (Unbreakable Machine-Doll) - Pretty funny so far.. Amazingly strong teenage doll-girl that obsesses over the MC. MCs past supposedly shrouded in mystery at this point.. few small flashbacks though. Looks good.


Magi: The Kingdom of Magic - Yay season 2 of Magi is here Hopefully it is as good or even better than the first season.


Yozakura Quartet: Hana no Uta - Remake of an anime that game out ~5 years ago. I never watched it, but I'm watching this. Apparently this follows the manga more than the original series and there is a 3 episode OVA that is almost like a prequel to this anime. There's more amazingly awesome teenage kids with weird-ass powers. Not sure about the antagonists, they look pretty cool though, and seem to have fun doing what they do.


Other than that.. I'm keeping up on Hunter X Hunter and last season's Monogatari Series, I'm watching Durarara!!, and I just started Naruto: Shippuden.

 

Watching a couple from trent's list too
Log horizon, everybody's locked in an mmo world (well, reality changed etc.) so ofc the log out option is disabled
kyoukai no kanata has my kokoro, cute girls killing demons yoooo
kill la kill 17 y.o badass with the hottest voice with the most ridiculous armor beating up people with a one bladed scissor
durarara!! is okay, its interesting but its like day 6 and im still at ep12
blazblue: alter memory, never played the game but i had gracie talking to me about it.
Rachel alucard is my spirit animal tbh.

I finished watching SNK again and its still no different than eating broken glass

 

More interested in Tokyo Ravens and Strike the Blood at the moment.
Still seeing Monogatari and surely I'll see the second part of Valvrave.

Blazblue was weird, the male prota's voice didn't match the appearance, so I have a little disassociation that killed the show for me.

With SNK I had issues with Eren the whole trip, in the manga he is irritating but in the anime was worse. And I didn't like Mikasa, damn she should be eaten soon.

 

Armin definitely seemed more distant from eren in the last ep especially, disappointing.
No screentime for hanji in the last ep too

 

I watched the first episode of Strike the Blood and Tokyo Ravens and they both seem pretty good so far.. good first episodes I guess I'll watch these too.

 

New ones I'm watching this season are:
- Ars Nova
Despite the extremely awkward CGI which almost made me drop it at the first half, I thought it's a pretty unique anime for me since it's my first anime about battleships that I'm going to watch.

- Coppelion
Gives a mixed vibes of BTOOOM! and Mardock Scramble. I'm liking the dark atmosphere of it and the fact that it's not about cute girls doing cute things or cute girls with colorful hairs >.>

- Golden Time
I'm already liking Kouko! And ****, how can I miss this one? It's from the same author as Toradora which was one of the best RomCom ever.

- Kyoukai no Kanata
Reasons being it's from KyoAni and the story is pretty interesting. As much as I like Mitsuki's character tho, Mirai is too annoying for me ._. Brilliant OP.

- Strike the Blood
Reminds me of Toaru Majutsu no Index a lot (maybe the MC = Accelerator). Liking Himeragi's character also, not being a useless whinny heorine.

Tokyo Ravens
- Looking good so far and the OP is awesome as well (Kurosaki Maon, of course it'll be good)


Continuing:
- Freezing Vibration
Despite the excessive nudity on ATX version, Satellizer is just too badass to miss.

- Hajime no Ippo: Rising
Been looking forward to this one for so long now.

- Hunter X Hunter 2011
Wish this ****ing Chimera Ant / Pokemon Arc would be done already. Can't wait to see Allukah >.>

Infinite Stratos 2
- Ichika being a dense faggot aside, I quite like this one despite being a Harem anime. Maybe it's the Mecha factor.

Kuroko no Basket 2
- Replaces Shingeki no Kyokin for me this season. Meaning the one I look forward the most every week. The pain of waiting 1 ****ing week....

White Album 2
- Amazing art. I like the previous White Album a lot tho this one seems to be a completely different story since it's not listed as sequel of the previous one in MAL.

Valvrave the Liberator 2:
- Liked the first season so why not?

Have yet to take a look but I will later on:

- Nagi no Asukara (this better be a good one or P.A. Works will have 2 fails in a row. Yea, I'm talking about Red Data Girl)
