IGNs with improper capitalization

I've been runnin around katalam this past few hours and I saw some weird names with improper capitalization like "XxTriGuNxX" or "RicH" and something like that so I've been wondering if it's some sort of bug that if you do it, it might get you banned or something for not sticking to the first-letter capitalization or is it actually allowed already? :andy:

Edit : You can't whisper or private msg them too or send them mail or invite them to group.

its was not bugged even retail implemented that...that's the one of the update..even my legion mate use that "ufo" but the bug is...u cant PM him

 

yeah u caught one his name should be Damalerx not damalerx

 

its an update made by ncsoft in 4.0. It is in the patch notes and it annoys me to the bones.

Its something Gamez should disable... like now.

 

As far as I know, Puddles already addressed this matter to Alente right after the 4.0 update and was disabled afterwards.

I just tried making a new character using capital letters and in the end the character's name appeared to be normal after I hit Create.




How to produce this kind of names will not come from me to at least help prevent any more players from having such names. I hope those who have an idea will do the same.

 

Yep, I have.

However, while the character creation itself will not allow people to place capitols in their name. Using a name change ticket is allowing it.

Should get a fix relatively soon.
