I wish this suggestion would find gamerz well.

Implement a system wherein a brigade general can 'lend' items to its members.
For example, BG puts an EAC sword to the legion warehouse then applies the 'lend' protocol, a legion
member (whoever takes it first) can use that item for as long as he/she stays in legion. If he leaves, then the
item will be automatically removed from his character and put back into the legion warehouse. The item, while
being 'borrowed' by a player would also be non tradeable. If the BG also decides not to lend the item anymore, he can
click a retrieve item button from the legion warehouse and the item will be removed from the char that borrowed it.

That way, BGs with extra items can lend it to his members while increasing member "loyalty" to the league.

    What do you say?

I vote yes for that since it is a bit hard for a new player to gain gears that fast and most ppl is tired to go instance with newbies

I kinda doubt this is anyway do-able... code-wise xD
It would require like an item-class on it's own to make sure they are not simply traded on by whoever took them and also you would need to keep track of the items all the time so they can be returned even if in warehouse or wherever.

New people start with GPP items by now when creating characters... which is not bad for learning how to play with your char.
What you suggest sounds more like "I wanna borrow stuff to my friends or whoever, but wanna make sure I can get my items back, even if they are not VIP"

I use to give away items up to EAC to new people without hoping to ever get them back... in most cases they leave without returning anything.

That's how it works if you are trying to be generous xD

SAM/HAM commands for adding/removing items already do this and asking for gm commands (especially from a tier that barely anyone gets to even after being in staff for 1 year) is :
    1) - retarded and ain't gonna happen
    and
    2) people forget their passwords, log-ins and need guides to teach them how to use a flight transporter. How many do you think can actually add itemcodes successfully? (none)

Thanks for all the replies guys...points well taken.
I was just hoping I can lend a few of my items to legion mates without the hassle (and seeming impossibility) of asking for it back...
What I think though is that developers can create a code that would make this function possible.

Actually its a good idea , u could also set time restriction as well like say for 30 days it will remain on this char and then go back to legion WH, which will be notified to BG as item arrived in WH, i think similar code exists where u put item on broker and when sold u receive notification , but code wise will be tedious as hell, not to mention there are already to much stuff the admins and staff have to deal with everyday then to work on this and then again if something goes wrong ppl will complain again and then they will whine more - fix this this fix this, and for some reason if there is a bug where u can leave with the item or sell it or something ppl will abuse it for sure.. no doubt bout tht and ppl will complain some more, as insanitybg said is not doable code wise will take lot of work to keep it running without bugs properly.

but overall i like this idea would give new ppl a chance to fight on lvl grounds with each other.
