Questions regarding professions

First question, Do Essence and Aether Tapping count towards the total of 2 professions you can master?

Second, I have my essence tapping to 499 and the master npc says I need to do a quest, but he doesn't offer the quest?

No they do not count. Those max at 499p and are your basic gathering skills.

There is no quest to go past 499, as that is the current max that AION offers.

Crafting professions however, you can have one at 500p+

The rest can get to 499p

You can get two to 550 and the rest till 399 which most likely doesn't apply to gamez since going over 399 requires the expert test on retail and here we just continue like normal

 

Then I guess my crafting toon is bugged =/
The one I have let me get one to 549 rest at 499 lol...

i got 2 at 549 and the rest at 0 cause i know retail had the option to get 2 of them past 399 when i joined in 2.1 so i haven't tested the rest
If you're saying that you did get a cap at 499 then either i got lucky or you really bugged your char (most likely due to having all those "server-wide-aoe" skills)




PS: mixing handicrafting and leatherworking with all recipes doesn't work out well..stupid 1200 recipe limit

 

lol yea, no you can get two to 500+ as it is supposed to be on retail. Rest should top at 499, was going off what my craft character did (like when I was trying to make MCD sooo what 2.0 here?)

And yes, I remember when we had like 5000p+ Dunno if that was fixed.

@ Recipes. They need to give a way to remove some....

Anyway! If you still have questions about the professions, to answer a couple more obscure ones before you get there.

For the Expert quests, just talk to the Crafting NPCs again (the quest arrows will not show up)

Raising crafting over 500, generally craft 500p items Level 60 crafts are wonderful for this.

Proc Rate of blue+ items are not effected by the server rates, so you still have rare crafted items (somewhat).

Some of the new materials to craft newer items are not implemented yet, should be soon so don't worry too much.

also the expert quests don't work (at the last step before the title, just to spite people like me)

 

K, Will make a note of that to Mr. Carl Sir see if we can get them fixed for sometime in the figurative future. Pretty sure they have been broken forever though?

question: is it possible to get a master aether/essence tapping because I was just now tapping 4.0 essences (499p) and having difficulties getting them of course then this guy, an asmodian in Siel, Frostgyix is his name or somewhat like that appears on my tapping routes and took over me completely. I can see him doing a successful tap for every 1s. I asked him how he could do that and he said he has capped the tapping and told me to go read the quests? Is this true or is this something they modified in their clients to work that way or is that even legal?

 

499 should be the max level you can reach in essence/aether tapping as i can see here. aka good luck farming that stuff
