More freaking errors and bugs.

Alright so after recent issues I had to rollback 5 days. Turns out I have to do a repair tool in order to get this to work. 9 hours of updating later and I've downloaded all of the repairfiles. But not done yet, it's on 95%. And it says it's repairing.
Well I assumed it was fine so I popped open the GamezAion launcher and clicked update, updated correctly as I was running as admin.
Seems okay? Well no because I've got floating heads. So I'm in this situation where the Aion NCSoft Launcher is STILL repairing apparently and it's on 95% and it's been stuck like that for a while. All the NPCs and characters arent anything but floating heads and their voices have gone. All voices are gone.

Don't tell me I HAVE to reinstall because that took me a ****ing month at 2mbps due to 9 stages of bullshit. Sorry for the swearing and if I get banned for this I'm literally quitting with Aion because it's been too much hassle even if the game is really epic. I'm losing it. Honestly.

So my problems currently:
Floating heads - I have done the items.pak thing.
Stuck at 95% repairing on the NCSoft Launcher
If i don't run the GamezAion launcher as admin it gives me a dll access denied error.

 

Kill the NChelper through the Task Manager, go to the NCsoft Launcher again and hit File Repair; your client is missing the bodies files

 

I did File Repair and it got stuck on 95%.

 

For how many hours?
The process is very slow already, if it doesn't give you any errors then it's not stuck, it's running

 

odd. been stuck 95% for about an hour really it's not really done anything. i'm gonna run repair again. how long do you think it will take?

 

Depends on the amount of corrupted files your client has

 

Mine must have like fifty or something, it's being ridiculously slow. It's midnight and the computer's in my room so I'm awake until this is done x.x

How do I locate corrupt files? Like, get a list of them so I know which ones I'm missing?

 

If you feel like doing something different, the other thing you can do is to close the NCsoft launcher again and go to the Aion folder and delete $Patch$, that's the folder where the NCsoft launcher downloads the files to, if you delete it and you run file repair again, it will download only the files you need; and disable your antivirus xd

 

Aha. Also... is your signature changing over and over again?

It seems to get to 85%, then get incredibly slow until 95%, then it doesn't move at all from there really. I'm wondering if it'll work this time after doing the folder delete thing you said about earlier. I'm assuming once all these files download i'll be waiting for it to finish, so i'm gonna go to bed and update in the morning.

just to be notice.. delete the $patch$ on Ncsoft folder not on the Ncwest folder.. Then if its all ok you can just really delete that $patch$ to reduce the file size of your main aion folder in almost half 50gb to 25 or 26gb. Goodluck on that

Yep. And I'm growing pissed off at NCSoft for having so many safety measures and anti-hacks on their game so that I can't even update.

 

Close NCsoft launcher, make sure the UAC and the antivirus are both disabled, delete that file in "$Patch$/number-that-i-don't-know/Patch/Zip/Sounds/music/Pak_002.pak" and run File Repair Again

 

Alright done. I'll leave it for a while. It probably happened because i set antivirus off for 1 hour only.

I just set it to off til restart. Thanks for the replies and I'll update when it's working.
