New PVP System

Please I'd like to know when the "famous" new balanced pvp system Alente mentioned will be implemented ?

Because I still see full MR chars hiting like they were full crictical or full MB.

If you need a new pvp system you can mail NCSoft with your suggestions, there is little Alente or Carl could do about game mechanics really.

This is what Alente said by the 4.0 changes.... however.... full MR chars still hit like full MB/MA, the same with Crit and/or Attack..... it is the same as always....

the ADMINs can do some tweaks in the skills...but since its not stigma system(SIEL), i think having such BALANCE is really hard to attain no matter how you tweak it.....BUT LUMIEL is AVAILABLE...i think there is balance there unlike siel...

 

What should be really noticed here as far as (PvP system) is that katalam has turned into a battleground in much favor of long ranged characters :tongue: its either gunslingers,mages and rangers...If you're playin' melee, I suggest you bug out brah and hunt somewhere else.

OR enabling back Inggison or gelkmaros' FORT kisking can give us a bigger zerg/solo map since people are too lazy to use 70% of katalam's LOWER(mid->south) map grounds

 

i do agree on you.... assassin / gladiator / chanters(some) cant sustain enough on zerg... this is not balance anymore...

 

Full Mr characters hitting like they're full mb? You probably ran into a good player that knows how to play they're class well in Mr. Those people have the potential to resis while knowing how to nuke or burst properly. I can tell u there's a difference between dps builds and Mr build characters. It just comes down to how well the player plays.

Badrobot is right, I'm pretty sure they're ain't much to change. Although I'm aware of some bugs lurking around but I still think it's playable.

There is no way a full mr mage can nuke as hard as a full mb one...Between my mr set which is about 2200 mb and my mb set which is 3700 mb on spiritmaster the damage difference is hugeeeee. In mb i can do 12k dmg in no time at all, while in mr it takes about 8-12 seconds.

 

For Glads, chanter, assasins - KATALAM is not the place for PVP for this chars. Katalam sucks. Katalam are suitable for weak and noob players who doesnt want to go solo in Belu and Heiron.

 

My thought exactly. If you are a melee class, 4.0 is not for you. I played again on my gladiator after 2 months and felt frustrated at how difficult it is to play that class anymore. With 2 new ranged classes (songweaver and gunner) spamming bullets and musical notes your way, plus the already lethal sorcs, SMs, and rangers raining down their high damage skills, you are actually dead before you can hit your first target. No wonder Katalam is overrun by ranged class players.

This kinda "forced" me to drop my poleaxe and create a gunner. Now I can be even in an unbalanced game....

 

I'm a melee class and I can play just fine. o.o

 

Balanced PVP where:andy: ! where !:andy:, the only thing i see balanced is the amount of hacks, bugs, and Zergs, and true that, if ur a melee class stay out of katlam, unless ur a OP geared Templar or OP Geared Glad with 2 - 3 healrs in ur group which is usually what u will see high rank melee glad temp do when they zerg , i dont see no change in PVP atall it will stay same no matter where u move , or wht u try zerging will continue cause ppl want to make em so,,,, and this is where high ranking Army Generals and Great Generals run behind zergs ,
its a shame that no elyos want to go out and take em head on , but cower under the safe zone waiting and watching as ppl who try to dare get raped by asmos or visa versa, and on top of tht comes SM, with fear in a zerg SM casts fear how more OP can a zerg get ^_^

lol if all you guys are gona do is complain about katalam pvp ...why not pvp somewhere else? lol works great for me.
