So like the title says -> I'm running into lots of Gamez Aion players on NA Siel recently. What the hell is going on here? A mass exodus? It's not that I mind but makes me worry for my former beloved server what is happening here. :love:

LordCurlyFry, I don't know you but I'm assuming you want some sort of acknowledgement or attention since you posted here. I don't personally like curly fries but I'm guessing you do. I do however like seasoned fries if that is any consolation.

 

It's pretty messed up here at the moment.

Prizes from special events that takes 50 years to receive and you basically have to beg for them to get sent. Some players even gave up that they will ever get them.

AM banning a player based off personal grudge.

PvP beyond help.

Vil resigning as a staff member really did left Gamez in a pretty bad shape. Carl is actually taking steps forward by unlocking level 60 eternal PvP items and the coliseum items from the NPCs but the rest can't keep up. If it wasn't for Ari, who knows what Gamez would have turned to.

At this rate you'll probably bump into even more people from Gamez in retail.

Still, can't completely give up on this server since the owner himself is taking steps to make things a bit better. We really just need competent devs and staff members.

 

I'm fine, just a little short on money to get myself some cosplays.
Hope Brian's doing a good job with that

 

Not sending out prizes is not an acceptable gm practice. Special prizes are sent out by HGM's, maybe some by the SAM's when I was on staff which has been a year and a 1/2 mind you. Hearing that disgusts me.

Dont know anything about the am banning from personal grudge so I wont comment on that.

Don't know whats going on with the pvp here so wont comment on that. If it's anything like retail since 4.0 though which consists of some really good fun days with actually cool asmos to pvp against to other days of oh I cant kill you so let me go grab my 500 friends and when you die they all shout bad. That really annoys me, that and the omfgwtfbbq I thought you was weak cuz of your rank so imma just go jump on this teleporter pad now. Yeah really really annoying.

Vil was just tired of everything. He was enjoying playing on retail and decided to come there full time. He still cares about Gamez though no matter how much he says he doesn't but it just comes to point where you are just done b/c as a gm you can only do so much until you are just burned out completely b/c you can't fix everything and everyone. I'm not going to go into the thing that played the biggest part but I will say @Alente - I used to really admire you and look up to you but now I just feel sad for you and shake my head at the things I've hear you've done to the players here. Shame on you.

On a positive note, it's good to hear you have a good GM around to help you guys out.

Yeah I'm always around there on one of my characters. Usually in Danaria gathering ponica and doing something resembling pvp in between.

Also I just want to say I freaking hate essencetapping and aethertapping in 4.0. Damn NcSoft for not raising the level cap. I firmly believe there is a special place in hell for them where they will gathering for eternity at 499 and failing so freaking much.

Yeah we're both working kinda the same hours now so it' kinda nice. I think he's pretty happy I'm able to pull myself away from Aion more often now to cook for him though.

 

That will suffice I suppose.

Do you what's funny to me? I answer a lot of player questions in LFG if I'm actually paying attention to at times b/c I hate how someone can ask something simple and the others players just troll the hell out of them. At least on Elyos side, dont know about Asmo side. I really hate that - it just adds to the overall bad feelings the Elyos have for each other there imo.

 

as Zaitou said things are not looking to good atm for Gamez even if Sir Carl is trying to make changes and have to agree i have seen many ppl Rooting for Ari to be promoted and agree with that as well.

PVP is worst and getting even worst.The best thing i like bout GA were that u could easily get good gears, drops were good back then and ppl
used to do loads of instances (because there were no CD's) and PVP was balanced (usual skirmishes in heiron group Vs groups) even if some
were God geared in that time and not so many bugs and stuff,

now days its Mass zerg in katlam, bugs hacks etc etc etc,. drop rates are meh.... i mean really i have 3 chars on whom i have tried DLR almost every time i can (many times) and not even once have i seen am item drop for me and no1 wants to do RB, EF, TS, BT cause they are not worth it.

so ya atm playing retail makes sense at least there u can go through all the instances ppl are genuinely helpful, with advice tips and questions and answers , am yet to test PVP though cause am focusing lvling which is at time pain but stil atleast all the quests work and no bugs

That's kinda odd about the drops unless Carl is intending it that way. Can't really comment since I don't know.

I've heard complaints on retail too about the zergs and things. It probably is more dependant on where you're at though. I hate when I have to go to broken cliff b/c there is always zerg pvp there it seems anymore. I've actually not tried DLR on retail and don't really care to honestly. Lately I've just been doing my own thing, not even doing instances and stuff. Just crafting and leveling other chars.

Yeah he was the youngest staff member ever back then at 14. We all used to have so much fun chatting in staff chat. Thankfully I have more good memories of Crystal and Gamez then I do bad ones and we all have loads of both.

Damn son, the players probably have the whole goddam list memorized by now. Here is a pro gm tip - when you're bored and nothing to do - take 5 new aion words, scramble them and add them to the bottom of the list. Do this often enough and you'll get 50 new words before you know it.

ohh/ zergs there to?, well will see but the relief is that stigma systems are in place there so u wont get pawned to hard i hope,
still have not tried though pvp, DLR is far off for me atm on Retail,

ic ic crafting is hard ik, and takes time and patience, Gl with that am trying to lvl alchemy to , god knows when i will be able to
craft Grs lol

also am looking for a good legion atm that does instances and forts pvp atm cause mine just went dead with BG leaving, so will see
bout that, have myself ran into many ppl from GA on retail too.

Well I was happy to help you. Can't give you advice on legions as I am very strongly opinionated on some of them and my reply would be biased based on those opinions but I will say don't let all the negativity about Clarity discourage you from applying to that legion later on when you're geared enough to join them. Lots of cool people in there. I just stay in a legion by myself for now b/c I don't want to be bothered plus I need all the legion wh space for crafting cuz I'm a mass hoarder.
