i didnt play for a year or more and i came back with 4.0 and the new skills i still remember everything i had on my cleric, chanter, ranger, sorcerer and spiritmaster, i used to play magic boost assassin and dps gladiator in lumiel back then but i still remember what the skills do by icon but not by name. now i'm playing gunslinger and bard.

I think its a gamer instinct to remember stuffs so you know even your enemy's skills, but who actually has to do a spreadsheet just for gaming? you are weird sir.

 

Muscle memory, when you invest so much time in a single character its easy to really get into it even after being gone so long. I probably still have muscle memory for chanter and gladiator, but theres too many new skills since I last played them that I'm not even sure how effective that'd be.

 

The actual skills with a hidden effect such as wod are only a few. And i can list them for you from your own list.

2) Aero Snare - Dot with movement speed decrease
7) Blessed Shield - shield effect and healing boost increase.
11) Brilliant Protection - aoe heal, aoe hp increase, aoe healing recieved increase
12) Chain of Suffering - dot with mr debuff and an effect that every single person hates.
16) Enfeebling Burst - dot and physical attack decreasement debuff
60) Word of Destruction - dot with a debuff decreasing healing effects on the target
21) Hallowed Strike - melee dmg with atk speed debuff


If you can't memorize what 6 skills (lets make it 10 just in case you find any other skill complicated) do then i don't know what to say. . And if you think any of the skills below are even a little complicated:

13) Cleanse - debuff removal
Root
buff
buff
resur
blind
aoe resur

aw i also make cleric since we have to get some SSB mythics but yet im nub at healing i thought it was easy at first..

ur so wrong...that's why most of the clerics sux cuz they simply using the heals...every skill is important for cleric even chastise cuz is gonna help u cover the root(never saw cleric doing that anyways) or hallowed strike and etc..it's very important to save ur cds as support and there are also combos for healing but i guess most of the clerics just randomly spamming the heals...a good cleric can make the difference in pvp

 

If you think ANY of ALL the skills are complicated then I don't know what to say. What's so hidden about wod, too lazy to read past the "deals x damage" ? Or what's so hard to memorize about hallowed strike? Remember you're the one who said there's a few that only do more than just dot/heal/dmg, don't twist it around now.

 

As a reply to Lucent i said that only a few skills can be hard to learn for those who are just starting to play cleric, everything else is pretty much safe explanatory, nothing hard about root or an aoe resu or an aoe heal or something. As long as they read the exact description of the skill, they should be fine. And the skills that have multiple abilities are only a few, so those should be the ones to be read carefully. Trying to put it in simple words here, just for you :3

Resurrecting a target is pretty "specific" and it's neither dot nor heal nor dmg.
Everything on my top list was not "just a simple heal or dot"




Now don't squirm your way out and pretend you didn't say any of it.

I don't understand your point. Every decent Cleric players know that there are more skills other than heals, dots, etc. like buffs, shields, resurrection skills, etc.. They are just not worth mentioning because they are not that hard to remember. Some are even one of the first skills you'll learn..

Do everybody need to spoon feed you just so you can get the point??

[strike]How hard is it to just open the skill list (default shortcut: k) and just read what each skill does? [/strike]If you've played the game long enough, you'll pretty much know how to play most classes without a lot of relearning. There's no point arguing over it. Only if you're a new player that'll be more problematic.

There's not many "hidden" effects for cleric's skills not mentioned in the description, only a few to remember.
Hallowed strike cannot be potted.
Chain of suffering requires multiple pots/dispel.
Grace of resurrection gives less soul sick time (doesn't apply to Gamez)
Blinding light debuff opponents with 90% miss chance.
Sympathetic heal, heals both group member and yourself.
Noble grace improves potion heals too.
That's all I can think of without looking at the actual skill list.
