Stuck at Server Selection Page

Sorry to bother anyone. New to the server. My best friend brought me here after we've been searching for some months now for a good private server to enjoy. I've followed all steps about downloading nasoft's aion , then I made a folder on desk top and downloaded the downgrade's, extracted them there, copied and pasted them into the nasoft's aion main folder as stated , then downloaded gamezaion's launcher etc. I've followed all instructions and read every page of other people I've found that's had same or similiar problems. At first the launcher wouldn't even have an update. just start button and would show files update. I looked around in na's folder where everything's at, ran na's version and then closed one once complete , then back to gamez and sometimes I get an update and start with it now and sometimes I don't but even after letting gamezaion do an update 3+ times, I still get stuck on server selection. It asks me to join lumiel , and I click cancel because my friend plays on Siel . Once I click siel and then select server it just sets there and never goes further until it disconnects me.

Still having same problem after performing repair on nasoft's aion launcher and updating again on gamez launcher..

As I stated already up above, I done everything that you stated in the forum, tried other people's fixes, and my friend had same exact problem I had and step through step done has he told and still same thing. Strange though we decided to try a different private server to see if it would have same effect and it went smoothly and get quick helpful responses from admins, gm's etc when need advice on things there. So with that being said, cheers and good luck to you all and your server. Would have liked to tried it out but since it took almost 24 hours to get a response and I'm sorry but apperantly you didn't read what I posted clearly or you'd know I followed step by step everything already. Think of this as not only a problem that I had but a test that was given to you all. I watched the forum after I made the post and saw a head gm , senior am , mod's and more come and go and only reply and start extremely ignorant threads instead of responding and checking serious ones. Good luck on all your endeavors.

 

I did read it, but as you said at last:

Assuming you are a human being, you're able to make mistakes and or forget things, so you would update, with the Gamez launcher, a 4.5 client (after repairing it with the NCsoft launcher, the downgrade goes away and you get the 4.5 client back), if you do that (update a 4.5 client with the Gamez launcher) you will get stuck at the server selection screen (if you don't have any characters in your account) or get the client stuck, loading forever (if you do have at least 1).

Here's basically where you did.
------
1. Installed the NcSoft's Aion. (CORRECT)
2. Updated the client fully, to 4.5. (CORRECT)
3. Downgraded the 4.5 client to 4.0. (CORRECT)
4. Installed the GamezAion launcher. (CORRECT)
5. Noticed that the game wasn't updating on the GamezAion launcher, so you decided to go back to the official NcSoft Aion client, and by mistake updated it back to 4.5, making it unable to select the server, because the server only works on 4.0.(INCORRECT)

Essentially what you did wrong: You downgraded the game to 4.0 from 4.5 which was correct, but in your bright mind, you thought it was smart to update it on the original NcSoft Launcher, making it 4.5 again, meaning it won't work cause the server only allows 4.0.

The fix: Downgrade it to 4.0 again, and update it using the GamezAion launcher, not thinking it's not working.

Something that'd be nice: Thank Guille for actually appreciating that humans do make mistakes, cause any other person would'nt be respectful as to call you a "Human".
