Every game released by EA in the last couple of years was sorta "open beta" anyway.

I've had that happen to me too much, way too much. Though it's not EA, TESO Beta sessions always seem to happen when I'm nowhere near a computer. It's so upsetting that I want to punch babies and toss kittens at random people on the street.

EA as managed to consistently make every product released a piece of crap. And they are still in business, the world works strangely these days.

Not really. The concept is simple "Can we make tons of money with an early release of a game (thus making it buggy and unfinished)?"Since it's already proven that people don't care and will spend their money on broken games and even pay for extra add ons (premium or map packs) then they go for it cause they don't care about the product since it sells like crazy anyway. Here's an example from Battlefield 4

Don't you find that people's choice strange?
That is what I am referring to.

A company can release whatever the hell they want, logic states that if its bad, people wont spend their money in them and they will go bankruptcy. But now that is not the problem, you can sell crap and people will buy crap, and will be mildly satisfied with that crap, they will state complains that the crap is indeed crap, But will still be using the crap, and the company will be ripping profits from actually selling you crap.

Problem is that people accept that, the company just took a stance with a business model that fits the consumer behavior.

The problem is not the company, by nature a company works to make money, they aren't there for charity or making the world better, whatever the hell that is, they are there to make money, aggressively or not, that is the whole function.

The problem is that people likes crap, they enjoy being ripped off, they find pleasure in being taken as fools. Just because they are "fans". Consumers does not respect themselves, how the hell will a company that seeks to make money will respect them?

Companies as EA will react and adapt if and only if the consumer behavior changes. They do dare games to the consumer to see if their new ripping off plan could work, like DRM, day one DLCs and early incomplete buggy multi million dollar releases. And while there is resistance from people initially, the whole thing goes all the way in until people accept it and cash flows in their pockets.

Blaming EA and others is the easiest thing to do, because it takes away the responsibility of your hands. They aren't in charge of your wallet you know?

Of course they aren't off the hook as well, even whit the action and purpose of making money, is still plain dirty what they do. Thing should be punishable, one should have the right to force them legally to do things right. But again, that comes from the consumer and how they behave towards what is by all means an scam in disguise.

So, yeah. EA have done all crap because they can, and because the consumer accept it. Damn world and its people.

honestly I don't know why people get so serious about this stuff..

I remember back when the BF4 beta was out people were going fucking crazy about how broken the game was, but most of that stuff was fixed anyway.. people were saying dumb shit like "I'll switch to call of duty" or "I shouldn't have spent 1 penny on this shitty game" but still, up to this day they've played 1000 fucking hours. I remember having someone on Battlelog who kept complaining about how much he wants his money back but he spent like 20 hours playing the game everyday.

Yes, it was a massive mistake to take BF4 out before its time just to compete with a game that in my opinion is not as good as it and dice had nothing to worry about, but it happened and it will keep happening because like you said it's all about who is more successful and who brings more money to the office. Of course it's about money, everything is about money these days when it comes to massively played games or blockbusters or pop music. It's the way the world works, and I'm not saying it's right, because instead of taking out games early and making them buggy just to compete with other companies they could have put a little more time into them, but what can we do. If you're really angry at the fact that they promise to give you games that they can't make, then you just don't buy the freaking games. Battlefield4 has improved a lot from what I saw in the beta, and it's still in a bad situation, but it'll keep improving.

On the other hand, if dice and EA didn't release a battlefield game for like 3 years which is the time they would need to perfect the game, the worst fans would start complaining that they weren't doing jackshit and the staff would be afraid of losing their buyers. It's marketing, it's business, it's gaming, I don't know.

At the moment I couldn't give two shits about whether or not Titanfall is not completely perfect. In my opinion the game looks fucking beast and I'm totally buying it. It's beta afterall. It's just beta.

Titanfall has another pedigree though,. It was founded initially as a Kickstarter project. I do not think it will come as broken as people consider it will, though it will need fixing in the run. Many of the project leaders are former top notch developers from several games companies. The game has been in development far longer than the average COD or BF. Kickstarter is starting to look as the real way to make games that are not bound by the greedy giants.

Things to see in the future.

Its a pretty generic shooter, Just my opinion, the beta was actually pretty good, no glitchy crap going on.

played like 2 games and got bored. i just don't get that excitement knowing half of their team are bots.

weren't you the one who said it was like CoD with robots? And considering you're a Battlefield fan, I'd take that as an "it sucks big ballz" from you.

In all honestly.
I do not want to play Titanfall that much. Sure looks great, and I ll check it out when the game is fully out and with far less hype.
I mean is a shooter with -some- mech combat, sure it has interesting mechanics.

But the hardcore mecha fan in me is waiting for Hawken. Its gonna go live via Steam soon, and that is more what I want, full time high speed mecha combat.

What has me really happy, is that all this will make the mech genre fresh again and maybe more games with this topic will come out, and I ll be happy for a long long time.

I mean, maybe From Software will finally make a "definitive" Armored Core, seeing the improvements in the genre.

Boom boom, well... downloaded game, played it... and, WOW IT IS SO AWESOME :O Those fights of titans are just unbelievable, I just nuked my own titan to destroy other two, then landed on the third, opened his armor and destroyed him too :O you can also break his doors and drag pilot out of titan and kill him :surprised: But it's kinda too chaotic, i barely know what is player and what minion (AI soldier)

Fist, madafaka
