Because different people like different things :p

Its funny because, at least in America, its extremely popular to watch animated comedies like Family Guy, Futurama, Simpsons, South Park, etc., but the moment you watch japanese anime people feel like its more childish.

It really isn't, there are some extremely mature anime shows, but people criticize before they give it a chance. This probably comes mostly from Japan itself, since Japan has more of a stigma against anime than other countries. People who watch anime in Japan are seen as low-lives, otaku, etc., so I'm sure some of that has spread to other countries.

It doesn't mean people are immature or not adult though for watching anime, some people grow out of it and thats fine, but its a completely personal choice and if someone likes something that doesn't affect their life and especially doesn't affect your life, then you shouldn't care about it.

I find more troublesome people that cant accept differences and find ok to criticize and measure everyone and everything under its own perspective as a fact. That is usually more immature that watching cartoons.

    In my opinion.

I cant believe, that KyoAni, only has 15 animes of their own so far..
and the company was founded in 1981.

2 recent works they produced are my favorites.. (recent, by their standards)
    Hyouka and Beyond the Boundary.

I also like Haruhi Suzimiya. I guess I have a thing for Mystery genre's.
So... pepol of gamez.. any good mystery anime u guys recommend?

Im very particular with animation quality o_O

    nyaa.se - public tracker
bakabt.me - semi private / public tracker (basically private tracker but allows public leeching) tho you can't find licensed shows here.

Both doesn't require an account and are safe to use. Been using them for 6 years or so.

I don't download my anime, I stream. I'm too impatient to download something, and I don't feel the necessity to when there's hd streams out on the net anyways.

So is anyone watching Space Dandy? Even though a lot of my friends might as well be otaku and by comparison I rarely ever watch any anime, I feel like I'm the only person in my circle of friends watching it.

For an anime that is largely a joke and makes no sense at times, it has some episodes which alone provide me a sense of enjoyment and connection that some entire series have given me.
