How to make a simple but awesome sig

How to make a simple sig from your character.

Hello this guide is about making a very simple forum signature from your Aion character. Its very easy but you need a little bit knowlege of Adobe photoshop and some C4D renders (just google C4d render)

I'm using some material that I shot from my own char for. example.

this is the final result


first get a clean screenshot of your character standing
(or flying) in front of a single colored sky or other background.
press F12 to remove the UI and take the scrnshot with printscreen or any with any other screenshot program.

open up photoshop and render (delete the background) around your character. you can do this with the magic eraser (rightclick on the eraser tool) or just use the normal eraser. Then go to Filter>sharpen>sharpen.

Then make a new document 400x150.
alt+double click on the 'background' layer then fill it in with black (alt+backspace).

Now put in your rendered aion character resize it(ctrl+t) and copy it twice(ctrl+J). Click on the eye of the top two. Then get out the smuge tool and set its strengh about 60%(top left) then smuge the bottom copy of the render all over the place. but keep it subtile. so now it looks something like this.



I know it looks like crap here but that will improve.

now put on the top layers again. Take the second from above and smudge around the edges. When you are an asmo you sould use the neon like colors in your wings for this. You might want to play a little bit with the blending mode i like it on linear doge. now it looks something like this.



apply image (shift+crtl+alt+e) and then go to filter>brush strokes and then choose one of the options. See what looks best for you. i chose sprayed strokes. Delete what you dont like and what is on your character. now it will look something like this.



Now its time to place some (one or two) C4D renders in to the document. Resize them and put the blending mode on Linear dodge. Erase the parts you dont like with a soft brush. Now it looks like this.



Final step.
Add some gradient maps layer>new adjustment layer>gradient map first ad a black/white one then a gradient you like. Play a little with the opacity and Voila! you are done. Now add some text and a border.

this one didnt turn out as i wanted it to be but it looks kinda nice to me. Elyos will work better:wink:. Play with all of the opacity and blending modes and you will see that sometimes it will make a cool difference.

This is a sig i made with the same tegniques.
