A gaming laptop is only good because you can bring it anywhere you go. You can actually build an a lot better PC with the same price. So performance wise, always go for a PC. Much more practical too.

I ran it fine on a laptop 4 years ago. I'm pretty sure you can pull it off today.

Though you should just build your own desktop.

I'm playin with a Lenovo U410. Its got 6gb ram and i5 processor. It's decent.. but only when it's plugged in (also I play with mid-graphics, not high). I had an Acer a few years ago. It had 4gb of ram and 2 Ghz processor, and this game was HORRIBLE to play on it. I was at 5 FPS all the time even with the lowest graphics. So I don't think the Acer you're talking about will be any good for this game sadly. But then again I'm not a computer genius so you should maybe look into it more. Judging by your idea of buying the acer laptop, I take it you're going for the cheapest laptop that can handle this game properly. Maybe look into this site for some better ideas:

I do not think that is enough, if anything you'd probably be on pretty low settings, but in the end you have a budget to meet. The processor might be fine but you need a bit more RAM, shoot for 4 at minimum, hopefully more. Try to get something that has a mobile graphics card (whatever they're called) instead of integrated graphics. Processor should be higher than 2 ghz preferrably.

Keep in mind though that gaming laptops get very very hot, and use up power quickly. Make sure you're okay with that, because if you value gaming enough to go for that then good, but if your main purpose is going to be something else and you just want to play games on it every now and then, you should probably just focus on a normal laptop.

You can probably just go down to the local pawn shop, and get a laptop for a cpl hundred bucks that will play Aion fine.

If you want to play the newer games though remember this about computers.

    1. Gaming

    2. Cheap

    3. Laptop

Now you have to pick 2 of those 3 things, you can't have it all.

I'm running a Dell Inspiron 5421, i5-3337 CPU, 4 GBs of decent quality RAM, and I swear this computer has alien technology because it's hard as hell for it to heat up even a bit and I can use it unplugged for like 8 hours, yet I can't run Aion at anything other than ultra-low graphics (I bet if I tried, I could, but chances are it wouldn't be a pleasant experience), and it still heats up a bit while playing it like that. Runs smooth but it's not as enjoyable with such graphic levels. I doubt anything lower than an i5 is a good idea for Aion on a laptop, honestly. I also doubt anything under 4 GBs is a good idea for any computer whatsoever, seeing as I'm at 55% memory usage right now only with my browser and background apps.

Thing is, these laptops are not made for gaming, and gaming laptops can be quite expensive because of those neatly crafted GPUs that can actually give you problems sometimes. If you're not too bothered about graphics as long as you can play the game, you still need a better laptop config, otherwise you'll be seeing yourself PC-lagging or overheating rather quickly. If graphics are a must-have for you, and you don't have the budget, then laptops are not a choice for you. It's as simple as that, really.

well, presently i am using asus k56 c laptop and its specs are core i7, 8gb ram, 1`tb hdd and 4gb vc and aion plays beautifully in it....most games nowadays requires not just an upgraded ram capacity but also your video card must be higher to be able to play and appreciate the game more...i have before an acer core i5 laptop with 2gb ram and 2gb video card and sometimes it can't handle aion and other games...if ur planning to use laptop, be sure to treat it as an investment and although a bit more expensive, in the long run u can appreciate it more cos of its updated features... but if ur budget is low, just go and use pc since you can easily upgrade all of the items inside like ur ram, video card and so forth and so on when you have the money to buy to upgrade ur pc.....whereas in laptop, if ur not too caredful, although it is cheap u will be left holding an empty bag so to speak since you will be stuck with the built in features inside like the video cards and such and also ram which is important in playing....so think about it if i were u...

    People that spend 1000 dollars or over on a "gaming laptop" when they don't even need to move places regularly and can buy a desktop instead make me wanna cry ;___;

    That was just perfect

Hm, it is quite amusing.. people who know nothing about computers suggest to the OP to buy a laptop with stuff that are going to be useless or overkill. Alright then.

For a laptop to handle AION in good settings, you are going to want to look at an intel i3 if you are on a tight budget (around 400-500 euros). It is best if the laptop has it's own discrete graphics card. Im not too sure if you can find an APU system laptop in your country, but they are basically CPUs with integrated graphics cards that can run most games in low-mid settings, though i wouldn't suggest this for AION.

AION supports 2 cores while gaming, so anything above that is not going to be used. The i3 is a good option because it's 2 cores are more powerful than those of the FX AMD series.

If you are only going to be playing AION in your laptop, then the intel i3 should be more than enough. The intel i7 is a waste of money in a budget laptop for AION, because it's basically an i5 with hyper threading.. and as i told you AION doesn't use 4 cores so there is no point in buying an i5. And hyper threading will have nothing to do with AION, so.. You should only look for an i5 or an fx 8320/8350 if you are going to be doing more than just gaming simultaneously..

    Get something like this
    intel i3 3220 or 4330 (the 4330 is a better choice because it's a newer socket)
    2x4GB of DDR3 Ram (1600mhz CL9 preferably)
1TB HDD and if possible also an SSD Drive
And for graphics card you should look at anything above an r7 260x

It seems that when people read "Gaming laptop for AION",they instantly suggest a 1000 euro (or more) gaming laptop that is going to be overkill. HEY DUDE I GOT THIS AW LAPTOP I GOT IT FOR 3000 DOLLARS I CAN PLAY AION IN MAX SETTINGS HUEHUEUHE. Wellp? You don't really need that, you can play aion in max settings with a 600 dollar worth of laptop :w00t:

PS: If you decide that you want a desktop PC, you can have it play AION for around 400 dollars.. Cheaper and better.
