Gunslinger vs silence/bound

    I heard many ppl here saying that bound stops gunner from using skills not silence. But what I am experiencing in retail is that when the gunner is silent, they cant silent/stun me. How can a sorc beat a gunner if they have nothing to stop the gunner from using skills. When I pop Vaizel and Balaur Seeker, they interupt it with silence and when i potted and re-cast then stun incoming, and their burst isnt bad either. Even ranger a physical class cant silence arrow, stunning shot while silent, I believe. Correct me if I am wrong!

    Gunner pistol skills are stopped with Bind, like the lockdown of gladiator.

    While bound, the pistols cant be fired, but all the other support, buffs and cannon are available.

    Gunner cannon, buffs and support skills are affected by Silence.

    This means that a gunner in silence can still use all their pistol fire, which has stuns a silence and a root.
    And when the gunner is bound, he can switch to cannon and keep firing and using buffs to enhance cannon fire.

    Sorcerer has it pretty hard against gunners (of course will go from player to player). Is why gunner population grew so fast, its an easy, hard hitting fast, long range class that kills with few weaknesses.

    Depends on which weapon the gunslinger is using.
    Pistol = Bind will stop their damage skills.
    Cannon = Silence will stop their damage skills
    NCsoft's weird logic.

    Silence in general stops all forms of buffs and magical skills. Ranger's bow skills are considered physical damage and stopped by bind. They can still use Silence Arrow and Stunning Shot whilst silenced, both are considered physical attacks. The silence arrow debuff is only magical portion and is dependent on magical accuracy to land. Traps and sleep Arrow for example are considered magical and will be stopped by silence.

    Unfortunately all of Sorcerer's skills are magical and will be stopped by Silence.

    Alright lets help the baddie sorcs - gunner pistol range is 20 meters, sorc range is 25m, so what do you do?

    Flame cage to remove bulletproof > Root (while being over 21m away from them if you couldn't get the hint) > Delayed Blast > Lava tsunami/magma eruption > balaurseeker > win.
    No need to bother with sleep and all that useless stuff, hell no need to even cover silence since it's useless against gunners.

    That´s something that I have always had a hard time with. Distance control, I cant get it right, but oh well.

    I like to fully dot up a gunner while i have them binded then end with silence and root and just step back to 25 meters and start dancing
