New server for asian players ESP PINOY'S.!

i would like to suggest to put another server on gamezaion and that server should be for asian players because lots of asian players have problem with their Latency specially filipino's and speaking of the population of gamezaion i think 50-65% of players are ASIAN's. me proxinos behalf of pinoy's out there suggesting to you mr. C.E.O,OWNERS of gamezaion to put another server for asian players so that more asian will play and donate on your server's because LATENCY is important when playing AION thank u :biggrin: ...! more power GAMEZAION..!

all i/we need is your support guys ESP. pinoy's..! if the owners of the server put asian server we can fight foreigner ,players with no reason's like im lag im having a DELAY and etc and i more thing to have more players pop.!.. please support this thread thanks..!

Lets analyse your suggestion of opening a server in the Asia/Pacific region. Firstly not all Asia countries can provide a good stable host for a server depending on the country's infrastructure. Unfortunately it does not seem like Phillipines servers can handle mass amount of traffic, to the extent that their outgoing traffic is rather underdeveloped too.

Therefore you'll need to consider other Asian countries. Japan is out of question since it is illegal to host private servers for games within their borders. China is out of bounds and extremely difficult to connect in/out of due to government restrictions, despite them not caring about private servers. That leaves Singapore as most probable destination for a server host.

Next we have the issue of catering to players. Gamez has people mostly from South America, Asia and Europe. The middle ground for hosting a server would be logically somewhere in North America. If there was an Asian server, it can only provide gameplay for Asian, Pacific and American region players. Europe being 1/3 of the server's player base would be left out.

I'm in Australia myself and LOVE to see a server in Singapore to reduce Latency BUT applying the factors, it's just not favourable if wanting a populated server.

 

adding a server isnt easy specially at asia
tho i would love this idea alot but lets be honest... if 50-65% of the players of gamez that you consider moved to that server what will happen to the rest of the other server, siel can survive but lumiel won't and it will only create problems.... racial problems in the end. XD

 

It is a good suggestion but as i see let's face the fact that put an asian server is not easy.

Though i hope that carl and alente will hear this suggestion.

 

I dont have any problem to our net connection, lag only occurs when the server is the one who has problems

@topic: they took down crystal aion because they lacked the capacity to keep it coz gamez community is getting thinner. I don't think this suggestion is wise but i'm sure the purpose was pure and to really serve the filipino players in gamez community but it just wont do, we probably make up the majority of the gamez pop and if we leave siel and lumiel it will change the economy and gameplay, some would love that though. no more greedy jew pinoys with hundreds of arbiters or zerginoys in pvp as they say.

 

If we did that we would lose 70% of Siel's population, heh.

 

If we'd make a server especially for asians, there would be a chainreaction of course.. Europeans as myself would want one aswell in EU since i'd think, why would Asians have the right to benefit of a lower ping/latency while we Europeans can't.

Then there is the problem of the massive leave of these said regions which would actually make lumiel look like a rotten garden and Siel would look like the current lumiel if not even worse.

It is a good suggestion indeed, but Europeans were requesting this since quit a while and it never happened and i doubt, it will happen any time soon nor for any region.

I play from Hungary dont use any kind ping reducer program, and satisfied with it (Lumi:109ms, Siel:134ms .. i make a little suggestion to other EU players ... GO WORK !! then after change the internet ..

Since reaperlord brought this up, I have another suggestion. Split the server into 2 channels ( if this is possible ) or make another server hosted in USA. Siel the way it is now will be for all the players (up to non-americans if they ll keep playing there knowing they ll play on significantly higher ping than Americans), but the second one will be only for Non-american players ( Europe, Asia, etc- IP check I guess). Non-american players will still play on high ping but that wont matter that much (besides the obvious cons of high ping) cuz all of them will play if not on same at least on similar ping. What are the advantages? 1[SUP]st[/SUP] lets face it – Its not fair to all non-american players that spend money/time to get the best gear to be losers by default in comparison with American players with 2- digit ping. 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] –It will decrease the number of hackers because it will be much easier to recognize if someone is hacking or not when u know the others play on similar ping as yours. What can be the profit for the server? Transfer service (1,5 k credits per char or sth like that) can be a good option.

Yeah. doblekayod22 is right. It's not easy to put asian server.
Anyway you can use ping reducer to reduce your lag and ping.

 

I don't see an issue with it if u got high ping/lag move to another server that's nearer to ya im playing from the UK I get 90-140 ping without ping reducer.
so I don't see an issue yer pinoys may want a server closer to them they can hope for it cos as said above everyone will want one near there home for 2 digit ping I wouldn't mind low but population is getting lower everyday I dread to look at lumiel now to what it was and siel is turning like that aswell

Just to throw this out here incase some are lacking on Geography lessons.
Asia (Philippines) has to cross the Pacific Ocean to reach Michigan of USA, approx 13,000kms.
Pacific (Australia) has to cross the Pacific Ocean to reach Michigan of USA, approx 15,000kms.
Europe (UK) has to cross the Atlantic Ocean to reach Michigan of USA, approx 7,000kms.
S.America (Brazil) has approx 7,000kms to reach Michigan of USA.

Justifying that any players from Asian side is losing out badly. I think the easiest alternative is to put it on the US West Coast like a Los Angeles server, instead of an Asian server.

IF the server was on the West Coast, here are the figures:
Asia (Philippines) has to cross the Pacific Ocean to reach LA of USA, approx 11,000kms.
Pacific (Australia) has to cross the Pacific Ocean to reach LA of USA, approx 12,000kms.
Europe (UK) has to cross the Atlantic Ocean to reach LA of USA, approx 8,000kms.
S.America (Brazil) has approx 8,500kms to reach LA of USA.

Fairly balanced compared to previous. And US players won't lose out on much, max 30ms increase for them.

 

I know everyone thinks differently but if i personally had ping problems i would never waste time playing here (when i was still playing). I can't be sure what your ping is but from personal experience anything below 220 is ok and more than enough to wipe the floor with players from USA. Just don't expect to be the best glad or sin with 200 ping, you need to choose your class based on your ping. If you cannot beat a very good sin or glad then roll cleric templar or gunner or even a mage to balance the odds.


If you are not having any fun playing here due to huge ping then you should consider quitting or changing server, because i don't think they ll ever make a server anywhere near Asia.

 

It would never happen because it would require Carl to spend more money.
