That's ... not gonna happen lol.

You can try this: Welcome to Gamez Aion - Aion Private Server since you said you remember your email.

But that's as good as it gets. Noone's gonna send you Account and PW details on an email registered to an account just cause you said you own it. =)

The automatic e-mail that you receive after writing the e-mail on the link you posted does send him the account info (his username and a new password) so I guess someone does do that.
Afterall it's an unspoken rule that whoever is the owner of the e-mail an account is registered under is the owner of the account. Which means that if that person decides to lend the account to someone else, that someone else will need to have the e-mail info in order to change the password.
And if the password is changed and one day the owner decides to get the account back he can do it without a warning.

So no, if he wanted to steal someone's account he wouldn't give an e-mail. He would just ask for the account name. And if he is trying to steal an account then nobody should worry it because he can't do it unless he has access to the account's e-mail.

Never occured to you that someone could steal the e-mail adress instead? And then try to claim it's his own mail and request ID and PW to be sent to the said email cuz perhaps he doesn't have the account name / pw?

I'm also not certain you get the account ID when you request a password recovery. Duh.

I don't think that Ari or Josh or whoever would actually just manually give out a player's info if they just told them their e-mail. They would just send the player to the above link. If the e-mail is known and you verify it, you put it in the link and an e-mail comes giving you your account name and a new password which you can change by logging in to your account. The only time that admins MIGHT manually give out account info is if the player knows their account username and forgot their password/e-mail, and ONLY after asking the player questions like "what was in your account, what characters were in the account, how much of this and that did you have" etc.

And you do get the account ID. I checked. If you know your e-mail for a game account and you have access to said e-mail then you can never lose control of the account no matter what. The tricky part comes when you forget the e-mail itself.

Then he won't have any problems recovering his password. Good for him.
