wizards don't suck, john wall is leading the best shooting guards out there with less than 4 seasons... nene is a great center, they just need a better point guard and a little more experience mixed with spirit... thats it.

 

It was only voluntary service so i could see what its like, had to fill something in my life till next year, gotta wait nearly a year to get into the navy cos my last intake was full. anyways it was only few months long and got home last week. kinda wanna join the army now, its actually pretty sweet, especially the food ;D but its to late now

 

oh lol I thought you signed for the big bucks buddy, I'm enlisting with the air force next year. Probably 20K with a 6 year contract tho.

 

Its all good though the government still payed me.

anyways 20k in what currency that sounds pretty weak xD in the navy ill be getting 30k+ for the first 2-3 yrs of training cos im doing a trade, then onto 50k+ base salary a year.

 

I'm talking about enlistment bonus, I get 20K USD for signing with them and around 60K USD a year, not counting my time in service and rank.

 

If you can sign while in a combat zone you can get major money. My girlfriend's brother is EOD and a few years ago he reenlisted while in Iraq and got a 75k bonus just for reenlisting. And since he was in a combat zone, he got that pretty much tax free. And then he makes whatever his regular salary is.

 

I'm aware sir. In this brigade we have the 1600th EOD unit and they get payed the most when it comes to reenlistment. Explosive Ordnance Disposal is the worst job to reenlist in a time of war... we get IEDs all the time and you could get blown up at any moment, no thanks!

Yeah, EOD can be nasty. The reason they pay so much and promote so fast is because it's a "rapid advancement" field, and a lot of the guys do get blown up. Fortunately for my GF's brother he did 2 tours of duty in the Middle East and made it back fine where he is now a trainer in Florida and is actually thinking about taking a transfer to Alaska just to get an "adventure".

 

He may be the best shooting guard but what about there other plays they barley have any good ones
