Hi as said above, there's a file blocking your download.
Delete it and restart you NCSoft launcher.

You might encounter this problem several times before reaching 100% repeat the same process everytime.

 

When deleting .. It dont do anything to the Aion Folder ? Im taking care cause if this reinsall it will take forever

 

Just delete the file it says and restart the launcher and let it update. Nothing else. Don't touch other things. Just that.

 

Makes sure to turn off your firewall and anti-virus program, this might block the files. :3

Which anti-virus are you using? Check your process of the anti-virus in the task manager and remove it, that should be enough! :3

dont touch your firewall & antivir for now, try this out.

If you get the error "Cannot Open File" ... just locate that specific file and delete it,


And if you get "Cannot Download File"... Do a quick file check (Repair) then cancel it...after that exit launcher and re-open it.
*maybe you have to do this some times until you reached 100%*

elow dimitra, i did not upgrade anymore my client cos i still having problem updating it...cant seem to make it work so i try to log in ingame using my old client, version 4.5.0.07 and luckily was able to play ingame.. can use skills, pvp the ely in ssb, can tele and otehrs but cant open other npc like general stores but can open warehouse and broker....weird....will just to play without updating and just keeping my fingers cross....to others having problem updating, just try to use ur old client and you can still play ingame but with some limitaion of course.....well, thats luck....again, tahnks lady dimitra and others.....

 

You keep saying it doesn't work but everytime you give us a different reason and you're not specific at all. If you can't tell us EXACTLY WHAT THE ERROR IS then we won't be able to help you. There's a million problems about the launcher and you're not being specific.

Do you still have the "cannot download file" problem? Have you tried disabling your firewall and antivirus like Gabi said and trying again?

Heyo ! this are the only solutions for the problem with update & download.

You know peeps, ive experience these all when i was updating my client to 4.0 before.. what did i do? (i just upgrade the speed and isp in our house) and its more on our isp and it depends on how your isp speed is, which is pldt,sky bro or smart bro.. my suggestion is go trial and error and follow what other people said here and if its still not working? Go find a friend who has decent internet connection and just copy their client.. Thats the best way i can advise cause i talk to other people who was updating with no problem at all and with the same internet speed you guys have.. Well i admit that philippines isp sucks at its really bad at all so just try to copy the client on other cafe's or copy your client and patch it on different cafe's with different or much better/faster isp. Goodluck!

 

Happened with my girlfriend's laptop multiple times, it's not because of the firewall or antivirus, it's NCSOFT's "perfect" updater. I have seen many people on the retail having the same problems. What you do to update, if you get that silly error, just click file repair, do NOT delete the file, it does download the file and it can access it however it's just being retarded. If you keep getting the same error, restart your computer then re-try download. Eventually after repeating this process it will work. If you need further guidance, let me know.
