Knights of Sidonia

Has anyone else (besides Ddraig) watched this? Its a space mech anime currently on Netflix, 12 episodes I think.

I've been watching it today. At first it was a bit odd to get used to, the animation is not what I'm really accustomed to, but I'm loving it so far. For only being 5 episodes in so far I'm a bit blown away by how much I'm already enjoying it. Its almost like Gundam Wing meets Attack on Titan. Really beautiful space scenes, awesome combat, amazing sound effects (thanks Ddraig), etc.

 

I watched it while it was airing. It was pretty good. I can't wait for the next season. :3

Can you get the subbed verison on Netflix or is just dubbed?

Both. Most of the anime on Netflix has both sub's and dubs. Its just a matter of changing the audio/subtitle tracks depending on what you want, much like dual audio DVD releases and such.

When you read a manga, you fill the noises in your mind that you think it should be doing. Of course, considering its a fiction and in fiction there can be sound in space... But not in my wildest dreams would have though they would have done something this sick.

At the end of the last episode they confirm the second season, it seems the show did quite well. I am not surprised since it was solid as Titanium.

 

So...watch Black Bullet then? As pissed/distraught as I get, I feed off of emotional anime. Hence me going through a Madoka phase for about a month or more now.

 

Episode 6, and so far im very impressed for a Netflix Original. I didn't think they could pull something off like that. The animation itself is not traditional at first, but you acquire it's taste very quickly.

You can change the audio on Netflix from English, to Japanese or Spanish. You can add English subtitles in addition to that.

 

If you get over chapter 2, its a world of suffering and lolis being destroyed; yes, destroyed.
That should be enough.

Its based on a LN as well, but is way too compressed in 13 episodes, so most of the exposition is lost and can feel disjointed at times, but is still a train wreck.

 

I watch Sidonia. I'm far more interested in Mahouka though. Especially after me and Dd's... discussion last night.

What you said about the animation is about as good as one could put it. It felt strange, but its definitely nice after adjusting to it, I really love the way it makes some characters come to life.
