Server Performance is unacceptable

As the title says,

The overal server lagg spikes and suddenly going down is unacceptable,
Same counts for abscents GM's and for the server being down for to long.

You guys are getting enough money from people buying VIP / Credit store items.
but it is no where even noticeble that that money is spend on server performance.

and for people that are going to spam , '' Go out and make friends '' , You are than being old and cant come up with your own jokes,

This server offering things for realy money , and it is than expected to run with minor/without problems.

I been playing for many months and i rarely got spike lag.When i get lag it because of my internet problem :crying:
Sometime the server just get crush or getting restarted and its no problem so far

 

is not like that,not for me,sometimes server works great and another time like hell,dont forget the send logs,sometimes 20-30 ppl get send log in same moment.
sometimes when i check my ping i see 70-80 and if i check many times an row i have a surprise to see 69,69.69 150+ .200.69 and i use same pc and same network.
dont blame all the time our pcs and network,the biggest problem is in ur server...

Before you start throwing "Money" vocabulary at the server, realize where you at, and what is going on.

This server is running an Emulator of the real game. Emulators are not the real game. So there are alot more bugs to face than the real game.

Staff here are volunteers. All money that the servers make is put into the pocket for the up keep of the server and these servers are not cheap.

There is not one game in the world that are free of problems.

You have no legal contract that says you have to be here. If you don't like our "poorly ran server" Go make one yourself that is better by yourself instead of posting a complaint that this server does not work properly.

As a player of a private server, you also have the ability to report problems, and help out the server. If you know about video game producation, a video game business has hundreds of paid staff members in an office building who work all day everyday to work on bugs, problems and to keep the server running at top performances.

We have 3 Admins, and 21 Volunteers.

 

your explanation don't fix any problem,instead of talking u can do something.

You can do that and play alone.. Try to let hundreds of people connect into your emulator and see what happens.

 

K but how much does it cost to keep a dedicated server up that holds the data required to run the game and all the user info + our website for a year + the login for a year + have our own domain with unlimited ability to do changes.

The game it self is free but not keeping everything up. Especially if the creator is trying to make money off it while doing his real life business

No but I built a Private server before and ran one for 2 months using JDK 7, MySQL, and NavicatLite. So I know the costs of paying for a cheap one versus one that more complex like GamezAion that is ran by 1 person with the aid of a couple more. Reason why I seperated Login server from Game server is because our login server can crash so thats an individual thing to fix. Just like the website domain is on the same account as the Forum domain. I seperated them because they are 2 different things to fix if one goes down.

 

I don't want to be a dick to Carl or anything but the dude is right, this server makes enough money to run things smoothly and is not happening (reason I don't play here anymore). Other private servers (not going to mention any) run things smoothly and don't even put a price on items like they do here, they simply ask for donations and the amount is on your based criteria.

 

Yea, but not to try and argue but I also notice they limit stuff as well. Most servers take away many features. They also delete many maps or deny access to some and restrict you to specific places and remove things from the game that are bugged instead of trying to fix them and only keep the things that work and ignore everything else. Gamez purpose is to have all features + have more freedom to do whatever you want.

 

not to mention they remove from the NPC all the items that would make them loose profit from the black cloud's shop.

 

Gotta make money some how. Especially if players want to see another game come into the Network family.

 

they've been making money since 2010 yet the only game that came in as a failure was gamez tera and gamez mu? I don't mean to bash gamez or anything, just saying.

 

I don't see why everyone is getting there panties in a twist server crashes and stuff happens u just gotta put up with it nothing more really plus donations pay for the ISP usage the electricity costs to run the server the upkeep of the server and other stuff I cant think of right now so there is not much they can do bout crashes of the game server and chat and log in server it just happens

 

Funny how these people replies as if they know the server's financial statement while at the same time claiming they are only volunteers and aren't getting paid for being a staff member which is true. How would you exactly know how much money the server is making, how much is spent on the upkeep and how much more is left when you're not even involved in any financial management?

Sure, it puts the rest of us in the same spot. We know nothing about those things either but the fact that the server is running for 4 years now means it's actually making more than enough money to keep the server running otherwise why bother to keep it running when it's only making enough to keep the server running and nothing more beyond that? It won't make sense.

There is probably more than enough money to make the server run smoother than it is but is the one managing it willing to spend it for such purpose? Even if the answer is yes, this server doesn't have enough competent staff members to pull that off other than Deathangel and Guille. The rest are busy stalking players who kick their asses in PvP on their legit, taking a random video clip and be like, "hey, can I ban this guy?".

This thread is utter nonsense.

First of all, you are not paying anything here, nor getting anything in exchange for it.
By making a donation, you do not purchase/pay any service. Donations are a way to support our servers and are completely free, with out any obligations. If you think our servers are enjoyable, you can show us your gratitude by donating a certain amount of money which will be used to support,develop,fix and keep our emulators updated. As stated before, you don't "buy" credits, you simply make a free donation. Then, we reward you with some credits to show our gratitude for your support.

Also, our emulator is not flawless, therefore it is logical to assume there will be bugs or issues of sort.
The server may crash from time to time, this is not retail so don't expect it to stay up continuously for months with out crashing once or twice.
Our maintenances never last more than 5-10 minutes unless we update our servers in the maintime. You probably forgot that almost every mmorpg server has weekly maintenance times of several hours, which do not exist here, since they are shortened to 5-10 minutes.

If you belive running an Aion server is that easy, nobody stops you from doing it, so go ahead and don't come up with sentences like " i cann download your emu from the net in 5 minutes" because you can not. There is no other retail-like private server like ours, so spare yourself the time and effort.
