Punishing Wave is Garbage

Why is it that the punishing wave for Elyos only roots for 1 second, and that the Asmo one roots for 10 seconds?

a templar skill called punishing wave.. uhmm im sorry man i only know of the elyos version of this skill.. cant help you..

 

It is widely known that there are subtle variations between the two races skills. The elyos templar's 2k DP skill is much better than the asmodians in some instances, since it guarantee's shield blocks, while the asmodian one doesnt.

However, nothing is stopping you from making an asmodian templar

 

If i could find the damn screenshots I took it would be awesome... problem is, every screenshot I take goes to a folder that doesn't exist.

Oh yeah, its not a DP Skill. Punishing wave is a stigma for Templars in Aion.

And yes, it is for both Elyos and Asmodians.

 

I have the same problem skyfir. it says it goes to the screenshot folder when it really doesnt because there is no such folder.

 

there are also skills like sorc that says immobilize the enemy for 20 secs, but it is actually not 20 secs, perhaps less than 5 secs? inched:

 

yeah i would say 5 second 10 the max for sure soem are riduculous

Okay, is the asmodian one called the same, because it seems to be both race's, which means it should have the same stats.

 

There are many different skills between the asmos and the elyos, for example:
Assassins are getting a skill named "Spelldodging" (Elyos) and the asmos are getting other skill (I don't really remember the name)
The point is, Spelldodging is dodging magical attacks and reduced your attack speed and the other skill is giving you +100% attack speed and lowering your evasion.

 

I already know that skills are separate, this skill is NOT separate, and used by both factions

Did some testing on it, and it usually fails whenever fighting the opposite faction in flight

Feels like it fails when its supposed to have a 100% chance to snare. Also, whenever it DOES apply within the air, it only lasts for a second, and then the snare is removed...

 

when u take the screenshot go to paint press ctrl+v and u will see your ss there then press save and there u go

 

are you hitting them while they get root?

 

KOR elyos temp used punishing wave and it lasted for 10 secs
so yeh, prob a bugg

 

20secs is for PvE for PvP is about 5secs

 

Negative, target is not rooted when this test was performed.

Usually only long term roots like Sorcerer Root are reduced for pvp purposes. This root is as long as ankle snare from gladiators, and still works whenever I duel an Elyos (in flight)

Happens alot every time I fight asmos.
