Why cant Templar wear Arbiter/Principle Chain?

Why cant Templar wear Arbiter/Principle Chain?

Or can they?

cause it says only Cleric/Chanter/Aethertech?

If not, is there a way to allow templar to wear the chain set?

 

Templars can ONLY use PLATE with Arbiters ..

 

Yeah, I wonder if gamezStaff can remove that factor so i can run Abiters chain on a templar.

 

Arbiter/Principal Armors

Leathers = for Gunner/Ranger/Assassin
Cloth = Sorcerers & SM's
Chain = Chanter/Cleric/Aethertech
Plate = Templars & Gladiator

He's not wondering about the classes, He's wondering if they will remove the restrictions.

As for the answer. I don't know, probably not if I had to guess.

You probably think about the abg(Archon Brigade General) days dont you? because people use to wear chain instead of plate back then on their templars.. even clerics are using cloth gloves for better casting speed,

Almost every abyss item over level 55 has class restrictions.

When 3.0 launched, a new stat, "Magic Suppression" , was introduced. This stat affects the opponent's MB and is very effective against magic classes, since it reduces their damage directly.

Now, Magic Suppression has very different values depending on the type of armor. Cloth armors have very high MS values and will therefore allow the player wearing it to reduce their taken magic damage by a lot.

Chain/Leather and Plate armors have much lower MS values, making them more vulnerable to magic than other cloth users.
Example:
Arbiter Cloth Tunic has 221 base MS, + 42 Bonus MS and +37 MS from augumenting the armor = 300
Arbiter Chain Hauberk has 123 base MS, + 42 Bonus MS and +37 from augmenting the armor = 207

Class restrictions were introduced to avoid other classes to wear cloth/chain armors in order to obtain insanely high MS values.
Therefore, each class can only wear one type of abyss armor, in this case, templars can ONLY wear arbiter/principal plate.

 

Yes Starstuck exactly what im talking about, I loved ABG days. Maybe a trail period for certain players in a zone with diffrent armours on to actually see if it is too overpowered. But when you think if players are donating for a set of choice as i did, Not thinking i Purchased chain to make a templar. But recieved the chain in game to only realize that it was for Cleric/Chanter/Aethertech only. So i had to make a chanter. When i really wanted to play Templar.
