Arrived a bit late.
Aldnoah Zero is great show, but if you get nitpick is full of plot holes and some stuff makes no sense even in the world setting. But, still is good.

I recommend you Argevollen. Mechs and a plot that is serious and full of surprises, and most important, is not stupid, it does not feel for granted. Something that Aldnoah has and is a shame.
Mahouka is reaching the climax and is time to disintegrate people.

 

I went on about a shit ton of Aldnoah Zero plot holes in Skype Chat the other day. Like how these super mecha things are attacking and the only person in the WORLD that has been able to destroy them is some socially disabled high school kid.

 

There's tons of plot holes in it, but oh well, I still love it for the music and pacing of it all.

Or how Mars is invading to begin with because they just want the land. If I were the Earth government I would be like "Guys! You all originally came from Earth! If you want to come back you can! All you have to do is fill out some paperwork and you're welcome back. We'll get some land and positions and jobs and other things you need. You don't need to send in your giant OP mechs to kill everyone! Just hop on a transport and comeback. It's cool."

And the moon destruction thing. Dragonball Z did that too. If the moon were really destroyed it would fuck up things up on Earth, from first of all, some of the moon debris flying into Earth and fucking some shit up. And then changes in climate and the tides.

Biggest Troll anime I have ever watched. Throughout the entire anime I thought they were gonna build some badass mech, in the end it's a cardboard box with tank treads.

Also terrible. Really anytime you try to get a bunch of Japanese actors to portray characters that look European or even American then you're just setting yourself up for failure. At best everything is just awkward as fuck.

In a more related matter, I'm watching the old Gundam Wing series that aired on Toonami way back in the day. Amazed at how dated it looks now, but it's still a pretty good show. Though I am amazed at how Relita is obsessed over Hiro even though he just treats her like crap. Or at least up the point I've watched, but then again I guess a lot of girls are into the guys that act like assholes so maybe that's what it is.

 

Heero Yui is badass as fuck.
Relena Peacecraft is aiming at the best motherfucker in the whole show.
But honestly, for a real Gundam show, watch 0083
