4.7 FAQ​

Please read this thread before posting any possible questions about the update.

Q) I am unable to connect the server, what shall i do?
A) Upgrade your client to the latest version. If you applied a downgrade, make sure to repair your client files through the NCSoft launcher.

Q) I am unable to start the game, "failed to initialize" error.
A) Make sure your client is completely downloaded and fully updated, remove our custom items.pak and repair the game if you are still unable to launch.

Q) I can not open the Black Coud Traders in-game store / I am unable to see the new plume slot / my interface is glitched.
A) Go to your Aion/L10/1_enu folder and delete the zData.pak file. Then start GamezAion's Launcher as administrator and make sure your client files get updated.

Q) I am unable to see some items in the Black Cloud Traders shop.
A) Delete your items.pak in Aion/Data/USA/items and replace it with the new one which can be found here: click me

Q) New costumes do not appear on my client, what's wrong?
A) Your items.pak is outdated, delete it and download the new one.

Q) I made a new toon but i didnt' manage to click on the ascention window to select my class, what shall i do?
A) Relogging should fix this issue.

Q) I selected the wrong class on the ascention window, can i change it?
A) No, you will need to re-create your character.

Q) I'm missing some skills and i didn't get stigma skills (Siel).
A) Type //givemissingskills or .givemissingskills in your chat window.

Q) How do i get starter gear?
A) Starter gear is awared to any new player completing the ascention quest from the new class selection window.

Q) Will my old characters get expanded inventories as well?
A) No, only new toons created after the update.

Q) Will my old characters get max crafting skills as well?
A) No, only new toons created after the update.

Q) What happened to battleground portals?
A) You can still find the main portal to the battlegrounds in Sanctum/Pandaemonium, however instead of spawning a personal illusion gate for some events, you will get a survey when the battleground starts.

Q) What new items can i purchase?
A) Currently, you will be able to purchase the following items:

• Shepherd Armors and Weapons (Asmodians).
• Ambassador Armors (Asmodians).
• Custodian Armors and Weapons (Elyos).
• Emissary Armors (Elyos).

Elite Shepherd,Elite Ambassador,Elite Custodian, Elite Emissary and Custodian / Shepherd accessories are not available.

Q) Where do i get Ceramium medals to buy the new items?
A) Ceramium medals can be obtained as follows:
- Battlegrounds may reward you with Ceramium medals.
- Events hosted by GMs may reward you with Ceramium medals.
- Fortress sieges may reward you with ceramium medals.
- Recipes sold in idian depths may be used to craft Ceramium medals from Mithril medals or Ceramium fragments.
- Completing the following instances:

• Hall of Knowledge (RANK S).
• Void Cube (RANK S).
• Idgel Research Center (RANK S).
• The Eternal Bastion.

Plumes FAQ:

Q) Where do i get the new Plumes?
A) Plumes can be purchased from special merchants in Sanctum and Pandaemonium, Penna (elyos) and Peja (asmo).

Q) I failed tempering my Plume and it was destroyed, what shall i do?
A) Nothing, plumes are supposed to be this way, whenever you fail tempering them they will disappear from your inventory.

Q) Is there a tempering cap for Plumes?
A) No, you can try to enchant your plumes as much as you want, however the success chance will decrease with every level.

Q) What stats do i get for enchanting Plumes?
A) There are two kind of plumes: physical (attack) and magical (magic boost).

Attack Plumes follow this enchantment schema:
+1 = 4 attack + 150 HP
+2 = 8 attack + 300 HP
+3 = 12 attack + 450 HP
+4 = 16 attack + 450 HP
+5 and higher = your attack will be randomly increased between +4 and +7 points per level , HP increases by 150 points per level.

Magical Plumes follow this enchantment schema:
+1 = 20 MB + 150 HP
+2 = 40 MB + 300 HP
+3 = 60 MB + 450 HP
+4 = 80 MB + 450 HP
+5 and higher = your MB will be randomly increased between +20 and +32 points per level , HP increases by 150 points per level.

Q) Can i toggle Plume appearance from my character?
A) Go to Options -> Names -> Display Plume -> Show / Hide

My char when logging in after ascension is only lvl. 60 not lvl. 65?
Any clue?

 

Read patchnotes, starting level is 60, not 65. Players still need to level up to max.

hi.. i downloading the upgrade right now using ncsoft game launcher.. 4.25GB for update?

 

My ceramium medals were lost. Did you wipe it out?

 

Ceramium medals obtained before this update were wiped, everyone starts at the same point with it.

 

Some of us have the problem, that GamezAion-launcher says, that we must update our nc-launcher, .....what we already have (nc-launcher tells that the game is up-to date ^^)
what do we have to do (pls don't tell me we have to reinstall (in that case im going to dig out my grave xD)))

 

It should have been noted on the patch notes so we could've avoided that.

 

Just exchange your mithril to ceramium medals. My 3k Ceramium are gone too >.<

 

My game runs perfectly but I can't click anything in game.
*Edit: I can click stuff but the mouse is off, if i want to click something I have to click to the right a little bit to get it.
*Edit 2: Actually NVM I fixed it by going to Options > Windowed Screen. And then changing the resolution.

and my 547 ceranuim medals are gone >.> and what's the max+ for Plume>?

 

And about the ceramium why is it our ceramium medals got wiped except to those who have 100 below ceramium medals

 

Ceramium medals were wiped to enable Ambassador/Emissary/Shepherd/Custodian armors and weapons to be purchased. It was done on purpose and we are not going to refund them.

 

how 'bout AP, there are players that have 100m+ AP
