You are a ingame GM. so far this is what you have done WRONG.

Yesterday, you got a PM from my guild member saying about asmos shooting through the walls in terminon.

You appeared at terminon and proceeded to tell elyos about how they will go to jail if they get caught shooting through walls. all the while the asmos where out side waiting to shoot in. the moment you went, asmos (the same that were doing it already, and why you got the PM in the first place) carried on. It was evident that you didn't even bother talking to any of them, as they hadn't even moved in the time it took you to tell elyos about not shooting through walls and vanishing.


Today

Bz of asmo is currently at teminon, you cant target him, and he is happily killing elyos. I PMed you about this, you then tried PMing him and said to me

"hes not online: sorry"

I was chasing him at the time he was visible on my screen. i then tried PMing him, and yes it told me he was offline as well. something i find very bizarre.

Now, i got close to him and pmed you to port to me. i then got killed by Bz and you were no where in sight. i then messaged you and you were conveniently went OFFLINE in the 15 seconds since i PMed you about porting to me. I also did //gmlist and got No GMs online

What the hell are you doing? isn't it easier when someone is PMing you about an exploit to port to the person saying about it? rather than trying to /w the perp?

Now im not stupid here, i understand that you can not port to a target you cant target as Autumnsjoy had the same thing, and i had to get him to port to me so he could sort out the exploiter. at no stage did Autumnsjoy go offline until he had sorted it out.

So to Righteous, please if someone PM's you about a exploiter and you cant talk / target the exploiter, port to the person whispering you. i have no problem in taking you to the person doing the exploit and losing AP just to get one more retard off the server.

 

He's spamming //announce way too much

 

Not entirely sure on this but the reason he could of not PM'd the person is cause well from what I understand the Gm in question is Elyos so when he tried to PM him the game tried to find an Elyos with that name. ^^'' Still logging off like that ain't a good way to help... -.-

 

There were lots of bugged Elyos that cannot be targeted inside primum the other night and there were no GM's online. How many Gms do we have here atm? Why would they apply for a position that they cannot even handle?

These would've have been minimized if they were doing their jobs the way they are supposed to do so.

And don't fcking argue with me. You know it guys that you're irresponsible. What is it exactly that you do? Dye items?

Yah, almost the whole day until now there are groups of asmos CAMPING all over Elyos map, which apparently is the reason for the no more free fly update we got. I don't think it worked since after that update there were even more camping incidences that's happening. Hmmm.. something to think about.

 

Autumnsjoy does his job, he has done it a lot better than some of the other GM's, I am totally satisfied with Autumnsjoy no complaints at all. you PM him with the name of someone doing something wrong and he will go and see and act.

Asmo"something" (sorry forgot his whole name lol) does the same. i had to PM him about Bz and he sorted him out pronto. very nicely handled.

 

the no target bug is instigated because the system thinks the person is offline even though he isn't. due to this, you can't pm him or select him. its just how it goes. GMs should also not be able to teleport to him.

Actually, I tried to contact this guy named "Bz" Many times, and everytime I did, for some reason, It kept telling me the person was not logged in.
I'm terribly sorry about this incident, and I'll do my best to fix this in the future.

I tried porting to him everytime I got a report. I even ported to people who were reporting to me. I never saw this person named Bz.

Secondly, I don't think you guys understand HOW MANY PMs I get. Last night I logged in to help take some of the burden of Autumnsjoy. There was only us 2 GMs on, with several hundred players online. Thats a couple hundred people for each of us, with their own issues.

That means, I am getting more PMs than you can shake a stick at. I can only do so much at one time.

As far as your wallshooters go, Autumnsjoy and I banned or jailed one person for it last night (we bought caught him, but his punishment was up to Autumn since she was there first ) I also banned a speed hacker myself.

On top of this, I had to deal with about eleventy kadjillion fly-bug users in heiron, on top of completing dye requests, trade assistance, and the investigation that goes into every attack/damage/speed/etc hacker.

Just because I do not respond to you personally, doesn't mean I didnt get your message. If you are reporting someone breaking the rules to me, the time I waste typing up a PM to you, could be the difference between me catching this person and not.

On top of all this, for some reason I had about 30 people last night non-stop begging me for kinah which cluttered up my PMs.

If you are concerned that I might have missed your PM (which is possible since i get about 3 every second) I want all of you to know its okay to send me an in-game mail, or even a PM on the forums.

Also keep in mind yesterday was my first day and I had put in well over 12 hours of online active GM duty.

And for everyone who needs me, please tell your friends not to send a pm with something silly like "Excuse me?" or "GM?"

If you need to send a PM to a GM please, in one single PM, state your question, and provide me as much information as possible, that way I have less text to sort through.

I did not become a GM because I am interested in power, or because I thought it was cool. I became a GM because I genuinely care about making gamez a better place, and contributing as much as I can.

Lol, you did not become a GM because you wanted to help gamez,but thats besides the point. You are correct in that you can't tele to no target abusers, and you shouldn't be able to whisper them either. I've had this issue myself thinking a friend blocked me o.o.

just stating for future reference, you have to tele to someone who is near to the abuser.

 

And don't forget he is still an trainee that means he need to learn every thing some of us already have masterd.

Bit of advice for you sanctus. If some one has the no Target bug the only way to get a hold on them is prison ban or normaal talk. everything else will not work.

 

Ryang, please do not publicly call me a liar, that is a bad thing to do.

Secondly, yes, that was my issue and I did not know. Yesterday was my first day on the job and that little nuance escaped me. Both Adieu and Oplay have had more time to get used to the commands and nuances of them both.

It took a little bit longer for my accounts to get set up so I could start helping. The best I can do is apologize, and learn from my mistakes.

I understand that for some of you this is not good enough, and for that I am truly sorry, however there is nothing I can do for people who will feel that way.

As far as going "invisible", I do that sometimes when I am investigating reports that require me to observe a person for a period of time. The reason being, if I am observing a person gathering evidence on them, I cannot do anything else until until I am finished with that. It helps keep people from sending me PMs while I am unable to handle them. As soon as my investigation concludes, I pop back as visible.

Duly noted. I didn't know that at the time and it would've saved me a great deal of frustration last night. That Bz thing was driving me insane.

I kept thinking how is it possible this guy is doing all this stuff when he's not online, and the people I ported to, I did not see him around when I got there. Sigh.

This sounds like some half-baked conspiracy theory. While I do not mind taking criticism for my job in-game (because although harsh, it was somewhat constructive). I do mind taking obscure ideas about conspiracies regarding myself, Adieu, or other staff members.

Just a case of bad Time Zone. First time i seen a No target abuser the game wasn't that full so i had some time to ficure everything out. (and both where just joking arround untill they got busted:rightful

I understand that you get inundated with PM's (and beggers get on my tits so i know where your coming from there) I PMed you saying to port to me. if i ever have a untargettable person. and i PM you, just port to me, stay invis and ill take you too them.

Thing that got my goat up yesterday was there were around 5 to 10 asmos shooting through the walls at us in terminon, my mate PM'ed you, and you told the elyos to stop shooting through walls, who were protecting them selves by shooting back. the moment you left (abouts 2mins after) the asmos where still there all 5 to 10 of them.

It seemed like the only thing you wanted to do was tell elyos to stop protecting them selves against asshats who can only kill people through walls.

To everyone else. keep this clean please, hints and pointers welcome, accusing people (GMs) about reasons why they became a GM can post else where plox.

 

I honestly hate the no target bug more than any other complaint. If the person that can't be targetted isn't near the person complaining, odds are I'll never find him. Even when I do it's still hard to get attention because they are moving around and pvping, usually oblivious to the bug.
