Chat Suggestion

If only we would get a race chat with same system as lfg (30 seconds) and with an additional kickbot for anyone who trades on it..
Just saying, LFG is annoying 24/7 and if I disable it, chat's empty. We could transfer a part-forum ingame with this suggestion.

 

We actually used to have a couple race specific chat channels. .ely and .asmo They cost 10m kinah a time to use and were regarded more of trade free.
Could they be put back in? It's possible but links iirc didn't work in those two.

 

For a lower tax would also be great, since the kinah economy is different atm...

 

Kinah is easy to get.

LFG chat is there to have that 30 second chat restriction. Ever notice those players who spam the chat box with lfg, shout, regular chat. Do you really want another thing added to have more spam in the chats.

 

This way we could disable LFG and remain with the actual chat chat. The faction chat xD

 

And not have the ability to use links and have alot more spam in chat? No thanks

 

It's a chat, a social chat, what would you need links for? People wouldn't spam a social chat if they lose 1m kinah per message, right? You can always disable this chat also if you want, but I think it would be awesome. It would turn the ingame side of GamezAion into a more social playground not just an annoying boring marketplace.

 

But you said you want to remove LFG. Plus. Even if you do not remove LFG. Nothing is going to stop them from spamming this race chat for trades.

Adding this chat again with no price or restrictions will just add more annoying spam. And even if you do add a kinah restrictions, people won't use this chat because people are too lazy to make kinah or don't know how to make kinah. If you give it a time restriction, might as well keep LFG chat.

 

Dude you can remove LFG from your client's chat settings. Making a new tab without LFG , that's what I meant when i said "disable LFG". Should've been more specific, that's true. Also 500k-1m kinah per message should do, and I've repeated that there would be a chat kickbot which isn't that hard to script for Aion chats.
As for the people and their laziness to make kinah.. That's entirely their problem but I can bet that there are some cool people that would be willing to spend few kinah for a clean social chat ingame. Kinah will finally have a meaning in this game. Everything else can be achieveable ingame and doesn't require kinah.. Except plumes probably.

 

I kinda agree on this one. If it's disabled, nothing. If it isn't, it's all spam. I feel like there should be a whole seperate channel or w/e from the general chat for people who want to trade. It could prevent a lot of spam. Really tired of looking at the traders who scream caps lock with the WTT and equal signs and shit.

We had LFG Disabled before.
That did nothing other than cause complaints. If you remember when LFG would decide it didn't want to work for some time on end now and again?
Those faction chats also had a time restriction on them as well.
Were they used? Yes, of course; but the off note on them? You cannot chat if you do not have kinah, so players would be unable to chat outside of localized general chats.
The other issues with them? They were spammed server like the announcements and such at one time, and or in the 'system' chat diaglog options.
Is it something that could be brought back? Like I said, maybe. Most likely not, considering people would STILL use that for their trading; only having to pay 10m to spam it, and it would just change the trade economy as well having people ask for more kinah along with items and the like.

In many games, LFG channels are the main 'trade' channel. Given that AION has a specific one for it I believe /2 is the trade channel. Considering how long /3 has been used for it? I doubt making a change over or enforcing any sort of chat rules regarding LFG itself would be effective outside of making people angry. Is trade spam something that can be annoying? It does not bother me one little bit, but then again I have three different chat windows setup to view whispers, LFG, and or regular conversations from legion, /s(ay) and such.

If, LFG Trade spam is annoying; you could always disable that for whichever tab you wish to use primarily and or make a secondary tab so that it still keeps track of it for trading and such.

 

That is exactly what I meant when I said "Disable LFG". But if I disable it there's too much silence and no possibility to socialize whatsoever. I get it that this is a pvp server and people are focused on getting best gears but when you login and see lfg it looks like a robotic marketplace xD

So the biggest + of this suggestion would be the ability to socialize ingame and get away from that lfg madness (by removing it in tab options and enabling the social chat only), also the chat kickbot is a must.
